Re: Reports Saints in for Chris Masten
Are we rebuilding or treading water. He is 30yr 4mth.
Ratten has indicated that we need to improve our ball movement including kicking. Masten would not help achieve that end.

Re: Reports Saints in for Chris Masten
If that’s the case... I’m definitely out!
That’s if I’m not already... seriously need to consider why I waste my energy on such a joke of a club
I’m filthy with
Trading Bruce
Losing Steven for FA
Recruiting Ryder
Recruiting Zac Jones
Recruiting Sam Gray
Seriously, who the f*** is making these decisions

Backward move to recruit Masten
Has never really reached his supposed heights after being a first round draft pick.

Someone is taking the piss.
Masten & Ryder on top of Hannebery & Kent.

Hannaberry might just be an asset for a couple of years
Hill is exactly who we should target
All the others we should forget
Ben King for next year's first and steak knives, then done.

Re: Reports Saints in for Chris Masten
Do you think I should be happy with decisions, just because the club made them?
Club has a history of f***ing up, and here we go again
You can blindly support, good on you, you probably did n 2013?
Me, I will use my own judgement and have an opinion about football.

Re: Reports Saints in for Chris Masten
Unlike you, I can't see the future, I don't know who we trade in or out, and even if I did I will at least wait to see how the trades work out before I make any decisions as to whether they were successful or otherwise.
But hey, go off half cocked and vent your spleen if it makes you feel better

Re: Reports Saints in for Chris Masten
At some point though, you need to ask yourself why you're a failed sportsman and a hack coach at suburban level.
You need to face reality that you yourself, have no clue and no ability.
And that in reality many, many people know far, far more than you do.
If you were any good, and were that astute - you'd actually be employed to use tbat wisdom that you think you have.
But you're not.
And BM - most of us have reached that conclusion. We have accepted that we had our chance - and we were sub-standard. We are now merely watching from afar, whilst people who have demonstrated more ability and knowledge than us are now in positions of influence and authority at AFL clubs (not shithole local clubs like the rest of us) and are doing things that the rest of us could not.
You're no good. You're old, and failed. You're not smart. If you were, you'd be more than a s*** carter at suburban level.
So you basically are like rest of us - except that you're delusional.
We don't agree with everything the club does, and have differing views of how things should be done.
In some cases, we agree with the club. In some cases we blindly accept that people smarter than us and better qualified than us, are better equipped to make decisions than us.
It's actually called being open minded. Accepting that you're not the smartest person in the room and that maybe, just maybe people at the club know more than you.
You know, experienced AFL people that have played, coached and administrated at the highest level might know more than a spud who couldn't make it as a player or a coach beyond the suburbs?

Re: Reports Saints in for Chris Masten
Have to say I’m with B.M. On this one. ie if the suggested trades eventuate then what’s the point? If the players out - Bruce and Steven in particular, both clearly in our top Echelon, are replaced with fringe players from other teams then We are going backwards. Anyone who thinks this makes sense is so blindly loyal that any mediocrity is acceptable. It may turn out very differently but is anyone confident we will come out of this trade period a better team? It is not looking good from what I hear and read.
the invisible and the non existent look very much alike

Re: Reports Saints in for Chris Masten
I know plenty of Eagles supporters over her in the West that are happen that Masten is no longer with them. He looks better tan he is in a good team. No.
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency
