Alright I will take jaxons retrospective comment on board as a given
However in light of this I would like clarification on bruce vs carlisle attitude rating
And I can live with Bruce wanting a big contract and moving to dogs
But the ONE thing that will get me furious with the club is if there is still a belief that Paddy will come good and fill the spot left by Bruce
What comment? Search seems to show nothing. Was it deleted?

FYI. Josh was not one of the more popular members of the playing group. I’m sorry I’m not going to further expand on that but just trying to give you some reason for his movement.
Interesting. On my FB, someone’s posted a pic of them and Bruce at the airport (fan pic) - said they asked him regarding the move and his reply was that he has been pushed out and didn’t want to go.
If Bruce is going, we need to get Jenkins - he'll play for basic wage and will be huge support for Kingy while he's learning the trade. At the same time, we really should get something decent in return for Bruce so may not be a bad result he we can get Josh J in

Wouldn’t go near Jenkins. Soft as butter mentally. Waaaay too inconsistent.
And way too old.
I get the reason for taking Ryder as we only have one ruck. But we have a poor list and becoming a retirement home will only lengthen the time that we stay a poor team.

I find that hard to believe. As if Bruce would say that. Facebook again.

Exactly. Jenkins is average, inconsistent, unreliable and struggles to stay in the game mentally. Stay away.

Consistent with what we’ve been hearing though so sounds plausible

Battle Austin Coffield
Clark Carlisle Roberton
Billings Acres Hill
Gresham Marshall Long
Membrey King Steven
Ryder Steele Hannebery
Ross Dunstan Bytel Wilkie
That excludes McCartin who remains on our List and includes Steven who is not being reported as requesting a Trade to date
So why offer that we are at the point of needing to start another rebuild?
To me we have a side which is starting to come together - still deficiencies so another skilled ball carrier would be invaluable adding the required potency to our mid field and correcting Ross, Steele and Dunstan who do not challenge the score board

I think we are making list management decisions based around a player we don't yet have. One of the BF ITKs said Bruce was only going to be given up to use as part of the trade for Ben King. It seems we dangled Bruce and Carlisle out to see if he could get a bite in order to have some currency, unfortunately we then fid that the Dogs offered him a big money long term contract when we really only want a couple of seasons out of him as lead in to replacing him with Max King.
Ben King is an interesting proposition. He will cost 2 first round picks or equivalent, GC will be determined not to let him go as well. We are really in a pretty serious rebuild with not enough junior talent yet and a huge hole in the midfield. We will sell pick 5 this year for Hill, but if we get BK it could potentially sit us out of three first rounds. That's pretty scary to me.
We sound like we were shopping Gresham but only for overs. I wouldn't be surprised if we are planning to build a side around 2 Kings, Clark, Battle and Marshall. The rest are potentially all available IMO.
One thing about the current set up is that they are very willing to gamble, they don't seem keen o a slow and steady rebuild, which seems to be similar to the last lot who traded picks and players and didn't actualise their value.

Where every decision was supposedly correct last time?!
Reinventing history again. No one every stated that, and no one has said that Richmond has done everything right.
No club has every nailed 100% of its picks.
But it is equally no surprise that when a club is as good as the Tigers now are that they have done many things right, and more right than many other teams.

Mav was right.
