Back to the Rich vs Geel game.
Did anyone notice how many Richmond goals were set up by Rhys Stanley mistakes!

Re: 2019 Finals Thread
The last 5 mins of the Coll vs GWS game were 5 of the most intense minutes in AFL history.
The ball was "stuck" in the Collingwood forward line and for 5 minutes the GWS boys fought like men possessed to hold back the hordes.
Their rolling gang tackling was ferocious.
How much of the success of that amazing sustained tackling frenzy was due to L. Hayes?

Sensational effort by the Giants. Orange, white and charcoal is close enough to red, white and black for me next Saturday. Their last quarter defensive efforts against the Lions and the Pies are two of the best "hanging in there" performances I've seen. Worthy grand finalists, no doubt.

Yes, he had a shocker...that one where they were away mid last quarter, only for him to handpass into the air 5m behind the Cats player on the burst, killed the game. He's been talked up here, but I can't see any difference between Saints Rhys and Cats Rhys...as inconsistent as always.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Sun 22 Sep 2019 9:10pm Back to the Rich vs Geel game.

And 17 out of 18 clubs fans were rooting for the Orange is the new Black!Trev from the Bush wrote: ↑Sun 22 Sep 2019 9:30pm Sensational effort by the Giants. However, come GF day, do we want them equal on flags with us?
At least it will male the MCC queue for walkup seats a bit more manageable than had the Pies won!

I'd be interested in knowing this too.Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Sun 22 Sep 2019 3:55pm Is this the first time that neither the 1st or 2nd side after the home and away rounds did not make the Grand Final?

Re: 2019 Finals Thread
AFL admit the Thomas goal was touched but have defended the process!!!
I am speechless.
What is the point of this state of the art ARC staffed by experts if they can't fix a clanger like that?
FARCICAL!
AFL credibility in tatters.

Re: 2019 Finals Thread
Well there's a big big sound
From the west of town
It's the sound of the mighty Giants.
Can the Giants do it?
I reckon they can.
Lot of talent in that side.
Their tackling and desperation has been magnificent in the last two weeks (Lenny factor).
Two huge INs for the Giants. Whitfield will give them even more class and Toby more firepower.
Whilst Richmond including a debutant smacks of desperation.
Plus the Tigers have the burden of expectation.
Giants by 13.

Re: 2019 Finals Thread
I think the Tigers will do it easily. They’re a very different beast to the teams GWS have beaten in the finals so far. Tigers by more than 30.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Fri 27 Sep 2019 10:05pm Well there's a big big sound

lol..this. well put.poatina wrote: ↑Sun 22 Sep 2019 10:41am Collingwood’s superpower has always been talking themselves up. Lately they’ve been everywhere with their “care” and “ vulnerability”. They have really gotten on my tits and it was good to see then upended by a team which went in harder .

While I'll be cheering for today's underdog, I think this will probably happen as well, all things being equal.st.byron wrote: ↑Sat 28 Sep 2019 6:46amI think the Tigers will do it easily. Giants will try and defend and keep it low scoring and as we painfully know, you can't win Grand Finals that way.
The Tigers have timed their form to perfection and it's very hard to stop.

Well, they're both from the same planet at least. Do we have to sit through pre-game footage of him with the war room, dressed as Rommel, discussing how his tactical prowess helped him steer the ship to those 3 victories?

Ok, Giants is AFL manufactured bulls*** but what about free agency rules that sees the good players only going to the top clubs with the Gold Coast mercenary a case in point!
