Re: Bruce Requests trade to D
Not happy Jan.............
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Re: Bruce Requests trade to Dogs
It's been a 3 weeks since we have been hearing Bruce is on the trade table...all clubs have unoffocial means of getting the word out and media are only to happy to oblige the process.
Why wouldn't a guy being shopped around leave?!

Re: Bruce Requests trade to Dogs
Good get for Dogs.
Bruce and Naughton will be a good combination.
Pressure on King is now extreme. Bloke hasn’t played a game and is our number 1 forward.
Big loss. Can only assume club is very very confident of getting B King next year. Otherwise not matching Dogs offer stinks.

Ameet Bains stuffed up our recruiting when at St Kilda and then leaves and pinches the one decent trade he actually got done.

Re: Bruce Requests trade to Dogs
It's all about clever, incisive list management and the Bulldogs will be contenders again if they get him. We, on the other hand, have gone nowhere for 8 years now because our list management has been quite confusing and amateurish at best and has failed miserably in player development. We lack match winners and Bruce sometimes gave us this, so him leaving will hurt the team further.
Can you visualize how damaging Bont and Bruce together will end up being for them? Add Naughton to the equation too.

What I dont understand is that we are crapping around trying to find a good key defender....How about Bruce?! He played defence most of his footy life until he came to Saints....

They dont get him for nothing!
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Bruce Requests trade to Dogs
There are plenty of others on the list to reshuffle before Bruce. Can we give Hanneberry back? Ironically, Carlisle stays and Bruce goes?? No wonder our club makes up the bottom half numbers now.The Fireman wrote: ↑Thu 26 Sep 2019 9:46pm meh

Re: Bruce Requests trade to Dogs
he made a request to go that certainly helps with the reshuffle. Carlisle stays because he wants to and I'm glad, I rate carlisle.saintkid wrote: ↑Thu 26 Sep 2019 9:51pmThere are plenty of others on the list to reshuffle before Bruce. Can we give Hanneberry back? Our Club makes up the bottom half now because of the personal we have now.

Re: Bruce Requests trade to Dogs
The request was ignited by the Western Bulldogs......I doubt any other club would head hunt Carlisle at the same level. As for our personnel, they've been found wanting for 8 years now.The Fireman wrote: ↑Thu 26 Sep 2019 10:07pmhe made a request to go that certainly helps with the reshuffle. Josh only played the odd good game....
was very ordinary in a lot more
We have been an ordinary team .......have to change list
In the end the offer from dogs was good enough for HIM to want out,,,hence his request....

Re: Bruce Requests trade to Dogs
Brown, Austin, Hannebery, Battle, King is a very promising spine to look forward to.
Carlisle to float and Membury as the third talk up forward.

Re: Bruce Requests trade to Dogs
So, as I speculated on another thread
Roberton Austin Battle
Clark Carlisle Coffield
Hill Acres Hannebery
Billings Marshall Membrey
Gresham King Steven
Ryder Steele Ross
Dunstan Bytel And a couple of gaps allowing that we would hope some other AFL standard players are in our sights
Steven is there because he has not yet requested a transfer
McCartin I would love to put in the mix
And, as I put elsewhere, I would be looking for all of Ross, Steele and Dunstan to hit the scoreboard far more often
In fact I would like to see another Hill to split the sameness of Ross, Steele and Dunstan
The commentary is 8 years of ordinary - and I would put that the names above address that the proviso being the sameness of Ross, Steele and Dunstan and that they can add a danger element to their games

Just to add, I rate Long but he needs to move from flashes to consistently dangerous
To me he has the skill set to deliver but needs educating where experience will assist
Rattan will give Long every opportunity I am sure

Re: Bruce Requests trade to Dogs
Dogs have pick 30... and 14. Something in between these was my thinking...
Long contract, big money... do the dogs have anything in the works for get a better pick than 30?

Re: Bruce Requests trade to Dogs
Good old Saints
Bring in the player formerly known as Paddy Ryder who is old, immobile and a has been and trade out Bruce a solid footballer who is the heart and soul of the club.
Piss poor trading again from StKilda.
I’ll wait and see how it pans out, Hill is obviously a jet and a great get by Ryder on the back of Hannebery and Kent......FFS.

It's a gamble.you can say that . But if all the stars allighn which they should king will be a superstar and Bruce will be forgotten pretty quick.. When we watch doggy games we will be watching with a sense of pride.. Love the Bruce but there's are greater things afoot.

Re: Bruce Requests trade to Dogs
So disappointing, any team needs warriors. Bruce has been that and more. I have no idea as to the inner workings of the club but they better have something really special in play to justify flicking Bruce to the dogs. Luke Beveridge is a smart guy, sees a weakness in the dogs set up and gets it sorted. We have now created the same gaping hole in our forward set up. A string bean yet to debut, a helmet wearing # 1 who can't get on the park .... Its a wonder Membrey hasn't wanted out in protest.
the invisible and the non existent look very much alike
