Hi Folks,

Was hoping to watch the B&F via the stream but it's not working - anyone else having this problem?

Cheers!

Stream going beautifully. Kudos to the Club.
Photo montage to the tune of Danny Boy was brilliant.

Danny Boy makes me misty eyed at the best of times, but tonight I really lost it.

Ratten speaking really well and highlighting poor execution as the primary thing to work on pre-season.

Clear and working perfectly in Singapore. Good speech by Rattan and made it clear the players should be ready for a step up

My stream didn't work until half way through Harvey's speech. I'll have to try to catch the rest later. They've already put video up.

Much is said about our mid field deficiencies

But 2 of the top 3 in our B&F are mid fielders

The other is our Ruckman

So what does this tell us?

The deficiency is that neither Ross or Steele impact on the scoreboard

And I would suggest that both handball more than kick - plus Steele tackles

So who are these statistics setting up?

And to what result?

Bit of nonsense that Seb won it.

At least his DE appeared to improve at the back end

His win tonight is as much a reflection of what the previous coach and the previous coaching group valued as much as it is a reflection on Seb's work rate and consistency. No doubt he is a worthy winner

You don't need 30+ possessions to be the most damaging player on the park. Seb was our most prolific player as far as stats for sure, but I'd like to see voting that also reflect players ability to impact a game and provide moments where a player can change the course of a result.

Whether that's a run and carry goal (Nick Hind) or consistent marks and goal accuracy (Membrey) or a big contested pack mark with a crunch goal just before quarter time (Josh Bruce) or a blind turn or fend off and breaking the lines (Hunter Clark). If Ben Long gets 15 touches (or whatever he got in that Freo game at Marvel) and ALL of them are damaging to the opposition or lead to a direct goal, I'll take that any day ahead of a mid getting 30+

Congratulations to the club.
The devastating event barely 2 days ago gave little time to reorganise the night .
But they did.
And they did it well.
Some important speeches that helped to heal to wounds and set the tone for the future.

Buckets spoke really well as did Bourkey and the Pres.

And Nicky Dal did a fantastic job as MC - great to see him back where he belongs.

To football matters you could sense Ratts has the support of the players.
Ratt's passion shine through as did Geary's great speech committing us to a tilt at finals.
