Since we have confirmed Carlisle is staying wtf are we chasing this guy for now?
That can only mean the plan is to play Josh Battle forward next year.

Battle is not really tall enough for centre half forward and I’m not sure if his body can take the battering.Viscount Jeremiah wrote: ↑Fri 06 Sep 2019 6:29pm Since we have confirmed Carlisle is staying wtf are we chasing this guy for now?

Interesting.
Interesting also that with Schache and Noughton, they'd bring in Bruce.
Bruce is an interesting one for mine.
He's actually a pretty good genuine goal kicking forward. However Cho tried to make into a 'crash the pack and bring it to the front' guy. I don't think he ever much good at this and it added f*** all value to our team for him to play that role.
He's also an ordinary ruckman.
So if the Bulldogs want him for that type of role, I think they're going to make a big mistake (considering what they'd have to give up for him). However if they want him as a genuine forward it's a good move - but Noughton, Dale, Schache and him can't all play together.
If Keath goes there too - it means Noughton is staying forward and Bruce won't be used back. Scache's papers would surely be stamped if they get Bruce and Keath - plus whomever else they need to offload to us to get the Bruce trade done.
So it's interesting times at the Dogs.

Re: Alex Keath
Did that matter for Roo, or GTrain?
No, as their value in their prime role was what mattered.
Castrating our forward line to be better at the part-time second ruck role makes no sense to me.

Castrating? That would suggest that it's currently fertile.saintsRrising wrote: ↑Wed 11 Sep 2019 11:52amDid that matter for Roo, or GTrain?

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Re: Alex Keath
Constable might be alright. I wouldn't provide too much for him but hes looking for a chance to get into an AFL side. Handy young player..To the top wrote: ↑Tue 03 Sep 2019 10:07pm So Constance, a Seconds player at Geelong, is yet another messiah for St. Kilda

This rumour has gone quite?!
Sounds like Bulldogs leading the race. Shame as our backline would be much stronger with another strong intercept defender. He tore us up during the year.

He’s just finished his first year in the system. He’s done well to even get a game at all - he played 7 - with a midfield of Selwood, Ablett, Dangerfield, Kelly et al.....well worth a punt if he’s part of a trade involving Stuv.

Re: Alex Keath
I hope we are getting him cheap, don't think we need him but surely is seen as a backup player, we need midfielders. If Robbo comes up Keath won't get a game.

Re: Alex Keath
Another one coming to us
Hill, Jones, Ryder, Keath, Crouch
Just like to know how we can do any of the deals to make them happen
Hill for pick 5
Ryder for a late pick
Can’t see how the rest get done

If we offer him a 5 year deal and 750k/year he might be interested, but only if he can't screw the crows for a similar deal and that is his wantsaintsRrising wrote: ↑Tue 24 Sep 2019 9:48amYou keep banging on about Crouch.

Yep for treloar or Degoey, mad if we let Carlisle go, why the truck would you give away all of your spine/structural players which is in very good shape at present. We just need mids and we have a finals ready list.

Carlisle is going nowhere. For all of Jake's faults - he's widely and largely been credited with being the most influential person in getting Ryder to choose us over the injectors.Pundit wrote: ↑Tue 24 Sep 2019 10:21amYep for treloar or Degoey, mad if we let Carlisle go, why the truck would you give away all of your spine/structural players which is in very good shape at present.
