Is this the Sandy coach for 2020 ?

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

These days, it's hard to hold back news of appointments such as this. The quicker the announcement, the better for all Saints supporters, the Club and those in the coaching mix.

I am getting nervous about the sound of "rumoured" trades. After last year's trade mis-hits, we really need a good outcome this year and I have my doubts about our level of sound judgement. We need the Coach announcement now, to get on with things in earnest and in which the new coach will/should have a big say.

Doesn't there have to be a board meeting to endorse? When is/was that going to be?

Probably announced towards the end of next week. They need to dot every i and cross every t. And there’s a reason there are no substantial leaks, it’s called betting.

Will the full review of club be finished prior to the appointment of coach?
will the review outcomes help determine the Senior coach?

I hope either Robert Harvey or Sam Mitchell get appointed senior coach.

Has the comprehensive exhaustive process even bothered to sound out Sam Mitchell to see if he is interested ? ... I assume not.

How many have had interviews so far?

I think it will be a mistake if Brett Ratten gets appointed senior coach.

Sam Mitchell would be a massive mistake.

My sympathies to who ever gets the job.
You may not be able to command the job of a coach to a top line team but you did not deserve to inherit this list.
Not one star player to light the path.

Just when we’d forgotten about whispering parkeyTed this thread pops up.

Ted like post, with Ted like accuracy of information supplied but sadly I think Ted drifTED into the dark net when banned from this site never to be heard from again.

Or did he?

Fridays are a nothing day for big announcements- usually only good for announcing dud government policies to sneak in before the weekend when everyone forgets. Monday or Tuesday would be a good to make the Saints coaching announcement..start of the first week in Spring, get potential sponsors ears pricking, media interest, player manager interest etc.

Preference order:
#1: Sam Mitchell - he will coach a premiership or two somewhere, supported St Kilda and gets the opportunity to create a dynasty. Had to battle up from nothing to become a legend.
#2: Brett Ratten - like his CV, his life experience and his feel for the club. Enough killer instinct?
#3: Robert Harvey - I do hope he'll coach here one day. But why is he only linked to us?
#4: Ross Lyon - probably just too difficult for all involved.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.
