This will be the straw that breaks the camels back for me. Last time I was this disgruntled with the club was 2009.
Sheesh! So everything's been going swimmingly for us since then?
Exactly... absolutely no idea.
Not happy with 2009... obviously everyone wanted a step further but disgruntled?
I do believe this is a reference to who we traded our first round pick for in that off-season... BM was very critical of the move even before it went south
If it is it’s a pretty piss poor comparison.
There is absolutely no similarities in this trade to that trade... contract, money, level of draft picks required, position.
What is it about this trade BM that compares it to 2009? Getting disturbingly murky for me...
Not to put words in BM’s mouth, but if I had to guess...
The perceived value of the incoming player in the club’s eyes
Perceived value? Ryder isn’t costing a first round pick.

Snatching chol from Richmond would have been a master stroke
Are we capable of attracting some one who is an up and comer approaching their prime and not injured...?
The recruiting staff have made some stupid decisions in the last 5 years but if it is true and they want Ryder this takes the cake. Forget about about trading old players full stop. This only works for top 4 teams. We are a bottom 4 team. Why not scour the state leagues and grab a 24 year old that would be over the moon if they got a shot. They will be on minimum wage and happy to play for Sandy and step up if Marshall gets injured. This crap about Ryder would be a great mentor for Marshal is crap. He has coaches that are his mentors (Lade) especially.
If they go ahead and get Ryder this just confirms that we really are a.......

This means we're gong to trade Bruce.
Has anyone asked Bruce how he feels about being traded.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Bruce was doorstopped at RSEA Park during the week.
He looked quite taken aback and didn't hide his scowl when he said
"All I know is that I'm contracted for next year, and that's where it is for me"

Paddy Ryder will cost pick 60+ & a 2 x 400-500k contract. As a redundancy for Marshall & who can also play forward it’s a no brainer selection. I don’t get the fuss. I also imagine the club will be looking at a <21 year old developing ruckman.

Anything that involves Rowan spending time out of the ruck is so stupid it’s hard to contemplate
He’s about to win a b&f playing in that position
I don’t believe getting Ryder would mean Marshall spends more time away from the ruck. This year Marshall was in the top 3-4 ruckman in the competition. He has built up some decent credits. But if he gets injured who rucks? Pierce & Longer were delisted so that means Bruce, Carlisle & Acres are our current redundancy.
The club could instead focus their attention to Lobbe or Zac Clarke but they are worse than Longer. At least Ryder is good around the ground, can take a grab & spend time up forward. He would be a short term 2 year stop gap & nothing more. He will come cheap in terms of picks & salary.
Have we offfered a contract to Mabior Chol? Is he gettable? Can we offer anything to the Tigers? Tell them we've got a 3rd round pick and if that's not enough tell them we'd be willing to take back Mav.

Do you think that’s what Ryder’s thinking.
He wants to leave Port because he’s not #1 and they found out (as we will) two ruckmen do not work.
Ryder is a useless forward
Dude, how about using the quote function?
No one kmows who the f*** you're talking to.
I thought BM was responding to MG. I could be wrong but it seemed like a continuous conversation and BM replied to MG's posts twice and within a short space of time. Are you sure no one knows are are you having a lend?
