Re: Rank our season out of 10
6/10
We were obliterated by injuries. 9 wins exceeded my initial expectations. Before the season the started, I was fearing we’d be no different to 2018. Some definite positives came from this year with the coming of age from the likes of Marshall, Clark, and Coffield. Wilkie proved to be a fantastic recruit. Shane Savage had a terrific year in defence. Both Billings and Dunstan showed real improvement. Bruce and Membrey presented well up forward. A shame the delivery to them inside is still lacking. Gresham was quite good in taking on Jack Steven’s role for most of the season.
I think there’s plenty to look forward to for next year. Picking up the likes of Hill and Tomlinson would be a major coup. Will be exciting to see the likes of Max King and Bytel develop as AFL players.
Hopefully we hire the right person to coach the lads and they have a game plan which is more conducive to list of players than the one Richardson failed to implement.

Re: Rank our season out of 10
After the last 2 rounds, a lot of the positivity for the year has disappeared. It may be enough to cost Rattan the job.
Billings had a good year but still not quite the heights we've been hoping for.....yet. But def a step in the right direction. Gresham had a good year playing a lot of footy in the middle.
Wilkie came from nowhere, Marshall was superb, and we've found some decent depth with Parker, Kent, Hind etc. I have no issue skipping the top end of this years draft because King and Bytel will be like brand new draftees next season.
Biggest issue is the lack of development from a number of those getting closer to that 100 game mark. Webster barely played, Sinclair didnt progress, same with Acres. They're the guys that we should be able to rely on.
Overall, we get a 3 out of 10.

Re: Rank our season out of 10
4.5/10
Better than I expected but still pretty awful.
Found Wilkie and Hind
Clark and Marshall developed well.
Billings and Steele became consistently very good.
Hannas got on the park and looks good.
But,
We have the worst F50 entry of any team ever.
We have the worst conversion rate ever.
We have very little depth of talent.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Rank our season out of 10
Correct.
As Ratts said, our 9 wins could’ve easily been only 5 or 6.
We won quite a few close ones. Our end of season percentage improved but is still terrible.
With the easier FIXture this year (with lots of injuries partially offsetting that advantage), we haven’t really gone forward much at all from the 2018 debacle.

Re: Rank our season out of 10
I'm thinking 5 to 6
Without the emotion, which isn't all that easy, I think we were reasonably serviceable in defence, and the forward line worked hard and was ok at times too (other than the obvious accuracy issues).
Unfortunately, it's the midfield that needs the most work going forward. To play Steele as we do, requires us to have at least one dominant ball winner at Centre clearances. I like Dunstan, he's hard, has a real crack, but not much chop in the Centre. Dunny has more effect around the ground, but he can't kick.
Ross, also not too bad around the ground but shocking in the middle at Centre bounces. It amazes me how many times the oppo waltzes off with the ball and Seb is 10m from it, and he can't kick either.
Most of the above issues with the mids would normally not be an issue, if they could kick. None of them, even the second string mids are all that bad at winning it, but every one of them, from Steven to Gresh and all in between simply fumble too much and cannot deliver consistently inside our F50, not one
hey, but we found some real good mature players and finally got rid of the elephant
Shoot, I'll buy a second membership next year if we could just get a Hill or two, and geez, I hope Dan stays fit now
