When you play like we do for so many years and still retain interest we just have to get used to the Dixons and other assorted dheads being patronising, condescending, insulting, disrespectful and infuriating. Wouldn't it be good to actually improve and possibly make a finals game. Oh to dream.

you have these players who can mark, and win the ball...but can't kick goals!!

It is crippling!! It is particularly crippling as a supporter trying to enjoy the game. The swans fans got so much more cartharsis. So frequently their players could just kick it through the big sticks.

I would say it is time to move several of these players on. Though it is very difficult. Even I like them and wish they could improve kicking..but how long should we wait?

I honestly can’t remember any team (not just the saints) that butchers as many chances and struggles to put it through the big sticks as much as this team.

Firstly, blame our Recruiters and secondly, our Development people - all professionally useless.

The players are being being "very" highly paid to play football. That primarily means "kicking." if they can't kick, then hire/recruit those that can - that's what they are being paid for.

Dixon marketed himself as the holder of mythical secrets of along-lost dark art that few others could teach.

I actually think recruiting Dixon is a big part of the problem. It elevated our goal-kicking problem so much that I reckon a lot of our players actually believe that they are poor kicks for goal. The longer we have problems, the longer he keeps his job (to a point).

Get rid of Dixon, focus on plenty of basic skills training (goal kicking as one part of that) and do some work with a psychologist to make sure you believe in yourself when kicking for goal.
