Sorry if it's been said already (don't want to go through 3 pages of posts) but I seriously won't go to the footy if we have to go back to playing that style of negative / ultra defensive footy, it's as boring as s*&^ and not appealing at all. NO, NO, NO to Ross Lyin.....leaders with no integrity don't serve as good role models for our younger guys anyway.
The ex wants to come back after they broke my heart and put me on skid row for 8 years.. Left the cupboard bare didn't nurture the children.. Now he has been given the ass because he did it again to his most recent love.. No f****** way who is that stupid..

Riewoldt suggesting that it is "slim" chance for him coming to the saints next year on AFL 360.
Riewoldt wasn't exactly bullish on Ratten's chances On The Couch last night. Sorted smirked in an "I know something...." manner. Not that I'm sure of that, but he did smirk.
Tony74 are you hearing any whispers around the corridors? King12? Jaxons?

Here is a post from tony74 from a about 4 weeks ago when Lyon's mob was still in the race for finals...that was before Ratten outcoached the greatest coach ever in the history of AFL. Underneath that is my post just before we played Freo
I only cheer a coach who has actually done something. Lyin walked in to a club that had a champion team that had just played off in 2 consecutive prelims. Pity he couldn't get the job done...no matter how many chances his players provided for him
Sounds to me like you're a bit like Richo. You're just looking at all the negatives with Grant and you refuse to acknowledge the legacy he left for Ross. That's ok. You can have your opinion. No one can take that away from you.
If Ratten can come up with a plan to counter Sandilands dominance and quell Brad Hill, Nate Fyfe, Michael Walters and Ed Langdon then I suppose all the Lyin lovers will say we have a better squad...LOL

Apparently a guy called Riewoldt has been secretly interviewed for the job.
The panel were so impressed they wanted to know who he would want as assistants.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Well, the one good thing I can say about Lyon is that he’s enrolling in one of my favourite subjects - behavioural economics - at Harvard - total envy at that one. Everyone should read into that subject as it is relatively new and has a few Nobel prizes that had been won there.
Other than that - what a narcissist. Everything is about him, blatant lying on statistics, constant oneupmanship, etc.
Boring game style. Saints picked him over Longmire and Longmire won a premiership with a less talented list. This one despite two great lists didn’t get the ultimate prize. Why? Because teams were always in with a chance against his style. Even when saints were down 9 points against Freo with 2 minutes to go, I knew that the team had a chance if they executed well.
Dogs eats their own vomit. I hope no club goes near him as a senior coach for the benefit of everyone.

Imagine if he could turn our standard 10.12 score into a winning score though?
And GOAT Newnes would be named captain and given a 5 year deal.

Did I read this correctly? You prefer our current situation of beating Fremantle barely in Melbourne and 8 years of consecutive non finals than playing finals and Grand Finals?
This might be what’s wrong with the club. That we accept such mediocre performances.
We have been as boring as ever this year except for the week or two post Richo’s sacking. Even then a very conservative team.
