Caro on Ben King
Watched Footy Classified last night and saw Caro bring up the possibility of Bing wanted out this year.
Very interesting to look at Lloyd's reaction and how quickly he tries to avoid eye contact.
Here's a clip from twitter ICYMI
Interesting time ahead. If theres a chance we can get him, I hope we do everything in our power to make it happen.

Re: Caro on Ben King
Forward line and Back line complete. A fully fit list with Zak and Brad and Ben King coming on board makes us a threat

Saw the same thing. Absolutely spot on.
Hutchy and Loyd 100% know he is trying all he can to get to the saints....was an awkward silence then they moved on very quickly

Re: Caro on Ben King
Interesting.
Gold Coast sounds like they’re a basket case. It will be their tenth season in the AFL next year and while things can turn around quickly, they look further away from making the finals than in their first few seasons.
They really are the AFL’s problem child.

Re: Caro on Ben King
There are probably a few clubs who would want him
Why do we think he'll be coming to us ? ( apart from the obvious 2 )

Re: Caro on Ben King
I don't think you realise how close the brothers are, they are very tight. My kids went to school with them so I have some idea of how close the family is - would have been shattering for the boys for Ben to have to move interstate. My strong gut feel is that if he leaves the Suns, I might be wrong, but I feel he will indicate a VERY strong preference to go to the Red, White and Black.mr six o'clock wrote: ↑Tue 13 Aug 2019 10:14pm There are probably a few clubs who would want him

Most overrated player on our list, and that’s saying something because Acres in on the list!

Re: Caro on Ben King
Get Albert too. A leftie is handy in the mix. Albert and BB up forward and Freddie like cowboy Neale at fullback.
Freddie seems to have some weird plucker pic thing going on on his pointy finger, which I suppose could do some serious damage. Good for some serious "pressure point" activity.
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Re: Caro on Ben King
You saw Carlisle in the last quarter, right? Not saying Brown wouldn’t have done better. I was impressed at his sense to stand in the correct position. I really noticed that as I’m sure we all do. He is frustrating at times, sure, but still in our top ten, no?saintspremiers wrote: ↑Tue 13 Aug 2019 11:33pmI wouldn’t like to lose Snake but I reckon GC needs someone like our Snake

Could be something in this... when does Caro ever raise something as ‘have you guys heard that?’.The_President wrote: ↑Tue 13 Aug 2019 12:42pm Watched Footy Classified last night and saw Caro bring up the possibility of Bing wanted out this year.

Maybe a tactic to break the story but protect the source ... sitting in front of her?
Maybe a way to massage the narrative of a player coming home after only 1 year?

Re: Caro on Ben King
carlisle would be a disaster at the suns. reckon he plays within himself now, just wait till he's at a club with no future.
as for overrated? on what he delivers undoubtedly. we get glimpses when he can be arsed, but he's way to soft and laconic. just a waste of talent.
hopefully when we are contenders he'll find some spirit, if not then trade him.
would i trade him for king? on what he's shown, yes of course. still rather keep him though, because i do believe he'll step up when we do.

Give them our first pick and a player like Newnes who is still capable of another 100 games

Re: Caro on Ben King
Some being a bit it harsh on Carslile given the type of injury he had and his lack of preparation. He stepped up in the last quarter and probably took 3 strong intercept marks.
