Positives
Okay guys and gals, lets forget about all the negative s*** and those awful maggots and concentrate on the positives.
1. It was a great win, our ninth for the year and Ratts third.
2. We f***ed Freo's final chances.
3. And best of all, we screwed Lyin who will probably be out of a job come seasons end, as Freo officials and the WA public don't like losers.
4. Stuv, what more is there to say other than he is a match winner and a keeper
5. Hanners. Was excellent today in the first half and could well be worth what we paid for him in coming years,
6 Clark, Hind and Long. great games boys.
7. Marshall may and I say may, have escaped serious injury. we would be in a real pickle without him.
Fell fee to add your own positives fellow travelers.

Re: Positives
Carlisle huge in the 2nd half
Battle played his position perfectly
Hunter Clark! Who was the last player we could use the description "glide"
Paton, Wilkie & Long
Marshall, I've some man love with a touch of movement. He's what the season 2019 should be remembered for.
Hannerbury is a very good player, we will be a better club if he plays 20 games a season. Playing 3 to 5 is just a tease.

Re: Positives
Long - loved his workrate today. He was often the link up player and constantly presented up the wing. Shame he couldn't have finished off with a goal, deserved it.
Hanners - the guy is just a class above. If only he can stay injury free and fit. He really adds some much needed polish. Having him in the side also means we have an extra mid rotation and can rest a couple of mids fwd instead of on the pine.
Bruce - i just love how he plays. He is manic and i
loved that he was the match winner. He busts his gut and plays with passion, just love the guy.
Marshall - he's just got everything that makes a great player, can't wait to see what his future holds. Love his attitude and his willingness to get the best out of himself, even when the odds are against him.
I want to add Steven but i think he's gone. Sad, it clearly looked like he meant something to the team and vice versa out there today but i think his mind is made. A part of me hopes a win today reminds him of the good times as a saint... we need him.
There's plenty more including players i gave votes to that i haven't mentioned here, but I'll leave it at that.

Re: Positives
Side was so much better today than last week.
Great post Saynta. Watching Ross lose his s*** in the box was hilarious.

Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Coffield
BOG until injured
Steven is contracted for 2020 and a required player - unless the home deck pussy’s want to give us Dangerfield in exchange (the rest of their players of value are just too old)

Re: Positives
Hannas and Steven both getting through the game and both looking to be quality.
Whether Steven stays or goes this is good. I he goes at least his trade value will be reasonable now.

Re: Positives
I think that in this and the Demons game that Long has showed the player that he could be. He can't keep going missing like he did in the Crows game though.

Re: Positives
That Battle mark at the end was incredible.
Was basically in the contest when it was kicked, then sprinted 20-25m back with the flight at full tilt to take the grab.
Haven't found a video of it yet, but it's outstanding work from the young man.

Re: Positives
As much as I love Stuv - he’s phenomenal but .... if we were able to get 20yo Charlie Constable for him (41 poss last night) ... I’d take that.To the top wrote: ↑Sun 11 Aug 2019 6:55pm Coffield

Re: Positives
41 possessions playing for who - and against who?
At Geelong?
Jack Steven IS a match winner at AFL level
I noted that Freeman had 40 possessions in the VFL last week - but only 5 yesterday, so injured?
So should we get Freeman back?
The luxury of playing Steven out of a forward pocket with occasional runs on the ball awaits
Geelong would be required to give us a player of equal value to them as Steven is to St Kilda - irreplaceable (and not old)
Otherwise Steven is contracted
With playing success in 2020 at St Kilda why would Steven then leave?
I am aware he queried Richardson on the trajectory for the side
Well, Jack got his answer today
And we are still missing some exciting young talent to boot - plus lost Coffield 20 minutes in

Re: Positives
There were 6 game saving marks in defense in the 4th quarter. Carlislev took 4, Billings one and the billiant one by Marshall..The_President wrote: ↑Sun 11 Aug 2019 7:04pm That Battle mark at the end was incredible.
