Re: Watters
Mark Fine says that watters wanted to remove Riewoldt as captain, and replace him with Armo and Tom Lee. Would have been interesting!
*Allegedly.

Re: Watters
Rooy himself also said at one stage that he wanted to remove himself as captain
https://www.perthnow.com.au/news/nsw/ni ... dfc5f13579
Odd that Roo saw a situtaion looming in 2013 where the club would be at a disadvantage due to the lack of next gen leaders and yet he stayed on as captain for a further 4 years after that media article
If Rooy was interested in retaining BJ he needed to refuse some of his bonuses and initiate talks with management to take a pay cut. Unfortunately the following has never been said by any of Roos team mates. It is fictitious
"Yeah, he's always been my mentor. He's taught me everyhting and he always brings out the best in the guys around him. We love the way he takes time to listen and he cares about his team mates. He's super positive. He's been very supportive and patient when it comes to educating the younger players."

Re: Watters
Yep. According to Fine, he was one of the few that got on with watters. This happened in a meeting with Andrew Thompson, Hamill, and Kingsley. So I presume one of those three is the source.
Another thing Fine said was that after BJ called him the dwarf on the footy show, watters demanded that no-one at the club was to mention his name.
All this comes from a podcast, and Fine claims that these were the tamer of the many stories about scotty's weird behavior.
