Doctors cannot diagnose what his issue is, so with the installed defib, they are comfortable with him playing.
He'd be playing now if that was the case....
He did not training at all for about 12 weeks.
Would not be fit enough to play local footy let alone AFL.

Hmmmm doubtful.

Our best available 22 only just managed to fall over the line against them twice.
Yes, it is certainly a doubtful claim, although lots of our best players have not been available at all this season and we did still win both matches, and one of them was all the way up in Townsville.

But on the other hand, I suppose we only just fell in by 2 points against them last season too, so there's clearly not too much between us.

They've been stiff in a lot of their matches generally which is possibly due to a lack of leadership and on-field experience. Which is the opposite to us in that I believe over the past five or six years we have won the lion's share of matches we have actually been competitive in.

Yeah, must be disappointing for him - they've left him steaming. Sorry.

Wow - that could be really good news. I still can't get my head around the concept of an inbuilt defribrillator, working automatically inside someone's body. However, as much as I rate Roberton (and I do - I see him as one of our top 3 players), I just don't feel it will work. Would really love to be wrong on this.

47
New rules that allowed players out for the season to be replace by players in the supplementary draft and mi-season draft.

Marsh, Rowe and Mayo.

It is also means 3 extra to delist at years end. Marsh and Mayo look like keepers. Rowe to go.
Then we need to delist whomever are to draft in.
So with a minimum of 3 draftees that is 5 players to go plus Rowe.
We actually have 48 on the list if you count Alabakis, but we still only have to delist a mandatory 6 players as Albakis is on included in a separate category.

Girlong have always fancied him.
Sadly, I think poor Paddy’s AFL career is all but over :(

A bit of a dilemma now.. two morale-boosting wins, the guys playing good strong footy, and the youngsters showing real improvement... why would a selection committee want to start dropping players to get some rusty senior players in there. This week's game is an ideal test for the younger players as the pressure will really be on(unless the Crows roll over)

I'm not sure about all that bigred, what he says and what if actually best for himself could conflict. I believe he'd be required a massive waiver for a start.

I also believe the club & the AFL would be loathe to risk the young man's health / life. From what I understand they still don't understand the original cause or why his defib did not perform as expected.

SaintPav wrote: Mon 29 Jul 2019 11:41am Interesting post but the depth angle just says we have many similar type players who can’t impact games ie no superstars.

I’d like to see more of White but he is a bit overrated on here.

Only Steven, Hannebery and Roberton would walk into our current team and would make a difference.
I can see where you're coming from SaintPav but I honestly don't know whether he's been overrated or underrated. He's been named in our best for Sandy in 80% of the games he's played for them this year & was rewarded with one senior game where he wasn't our worst & copped an injury prior to half time.

I find it baffling, is he an enigma or is my thought process an enigma?
