More responsible than the Richo apologists are I can tell you that much. It's OK.... don't be salty, just enjoy the ride and be thankful to us for getting you back on the right path.

Nah, I'd say it was pretty much a nil-all draw.
*Allegedly.

Re: You can thank us later....
I don't agree with the op, but the joke is on all of us for being sold bulls*** from this administration and this football department for so long. Enough is enough.
Get on with the business of appointing the right people in the right positions who are competent and capable of helping our club win games of football. Ratten will be a very good coach for the next 4 years. Don't stuff this up Saints. Make sure we don't lose him to another team, and please, please please do not gift the job to Brad Scott
Richo had too many failings so he has finally been moved on. As soon as it was evident that the head recruiter had made some questionable choices he also was moved on. Now it is time for others to be accountable for their fuckups. Whoever was ultimately responsible for extending Richo's contract in 2017 needs to stand down imo and whoever was ultimately responsible for recruiting Dan Hannebury should also be moved on

It's actually hilarious how many people can't identify a cheeky wind up.
Chill people. Hopefully today is the beginning of something we can all be on board with.

Seriously....
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

To answer their question: Yes, finally, this is how a group of young men can play free of 6 years of mind numbing platitudes - enjoy becoming genuine AFL footballers Coffey, Clark, Blake & anyone else who doesn't want to be limited by rhetoric & pre conceived misconceptions.

Re: You can thank us later....
No doubt sides require “role” players including for the reasons we saw today
But it has always been my belief that the absolute requirement is match winning players - so you encourage and back in those who can win games for you (those who are capable of producing BOG performances in winning sides) and that the “role” players compliment the match winners
And you build from defence - hence the performances of Carlisle, Clark, Coffield and Wilkie today, with Brown the “role” player
You back in your match winners
I have no doubt Acres is still troubled by the issue which impacted on his 2018, hence being managed thru the mid-field role
But when he is in there he has a real impact including because of his disposal both by hand and by foot (think the pass to Gresham in the goal square for starters)
Then we get to Billings and Gresham and Dunstan - and the role played by Steele
Win the ball, use it with class including inventive class and win the game
This is the subtle change - go use your skill set to win the game of footy for us
Not negate your opponent in the hope of scrapping a win or limiting to an honourable loss
We have match winners on our List, as we saw today
And the best part about these match winners is that only Carlisle is experienced
Billings, Dunstan and Acres are gathering experience as is Gresham - but Marshall, Battle, Clark and Coffield are still youngsters
Then there are the developing “role” players like Paton who is developing
Even the likes of Wilkie are inexperienced at this level
One of my recollections of successful sides was that, on the day of the big dance, it was not a match winner who played out of their skin but a “role” player
When that happens you have a premiership side

Re: You can thank us later....
Mate, there are snails that climb the wall outside Bassat's Office, that had more to do with that win or Richo's departure than you did. It just got to a point where Richo accepted he wasn't going to meet the trigger clause of his contract. Are you claiming the Club didn't know that and you advised them of it? Or are you just peddling some delusion.
