Re: Match Thread Saints v Suns of Beaches Round 13 2019
I dont agree with the comments from Dermie and Lynch about Max King.
Basically saying he needs more time before coming into senior footy. And listening to the game they did say some good things about Ben King, and he has 5 games.
I think Max King should be playing to gain confidence and learn the game.

Billings, Dunstan and Acres all did well in the middle, and I think Armo showed he’s more valuable than Geary playing down back.
All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.

Probably. Tell me that wasnt a s*** win? There is such a thing you know.
Only real positive was Billings putting in a blinder.
"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....

Lonie being named as part of the “cavalry” concerns me.degruch wrote: ↑Sat 15 Jun 2019 5:32pmTrue...always hopeful we can keep in touch with the finals log jam, the cavalry may arrive towards the end of the season...Lonie, Webster, Carlisle, Hanna, King, Steele, etc.magnifisaint wrote: ↑Sat 15 Jun 2019 5:30pm Glad we won by only playing a quarter of football. If that was a rule we'd have no one in our forward line from our current list.Tom_Sainter wrote: ↑Sat 15 Jun 2019 5:29pm wtf is Richo smiling for at the end... we would have lost to every other team with that performance. Brandon White.. love his effort but can't play a guy forward who misses 2 shots from the same spot 20 meters out...
Loved White contesting in an unfamiliar position, he was clearly labouring.

Inside 50s 57 to 48 to the Saints advantage.
Just imagine what we could do if we had a functioning forward line that could kick straight at goals!

To be honest the second half was alright 9 goals and we played a gazillion times better than in the first.
I still can't fathom how poor we were early, against anyone else we would have been down by 60 points

Might have been the suns game last year.
Look on the bright side, red, we won but there is still a little room for improvement.

In all seriousness, how could learn anything in that team as a forward?Ajantis wrote: ↑Sat 15 Jun 2019 5:37pm I dont agree with the comments from Dermie and Lynch about Max King.

Doesn't concern me, how well has our forwardline functioned in his absence?Brunswicksainter wrote: ↑Sat 15 Jun 2019 5:52pmLonie being named as part of the “cavalry” concerns me.degruch wrote: ↑Sat 15 Jun 2019 5:32pmTrue...always hopeful we can keep in touch with the finals log jam, the cavalry may arrive towards the end of the season...Lonie, Webster, Carlisle, Hanna, King, Steele, etc.magnifisaint wrote: ↑Sat 15 Jun 2019 5:30pm Glad we won by only playing a quarter of football. Agree, Lonie would be top 5 in our B&F up to his injury.degruch wrote: ↑Sat 15 Jun 2019 6:32pmDoesn't concern me, how well has our forwardline functioned in his absence?Brunswicksainter wrote: ↑Sat 15 Jun 2019 5:52pmLonie being named as part of the “cavalry” concerns me.degruch wrote: ↑Sat 15 Jun 2019 5:32pmTrue...always hopeful we can keep in touch with the finals log jam, the cavalry may arrive towards the end of the season...Lonie, Webster, Carlisle, Hanna, King, Steele, etc.magnifisaint wrote: ↑Sat 15 Jun 2019 5:30pm Glad we won by only playing a quarter of football. The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

I never, ever, EVER have.
