Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Saints list is awful...Newnes, Brown, Sinclair etc etc ... watching this, I see nothing different from the last 7 years.
Can't win a centre clearance, can't win most 1 on 1s.... same garbage over and over... and everyone somehow expects a different result.
Saints are a bottom 4 side ... and that's where they're going to stay

Agreed. Our midfield are disgraceful. Dunstan, Gresham, Steele, Newens and Ross are all putrid. Slow poorly skilled and the worst in the competition. Watching Ports 1st year players from last year is just rubbing salt into the wound.

Both teams 5-5, which is clearly flattering for us

10+ goal defeat coming up. Chance to embarrass ourselves on the world stage.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Well I'm sure glad I didn't waste two grand to go up and watch this total rubbish!

We’re losing because Port want it more in the contest. They’re using it better when they’ve got it and they’re pressure when we’ve got it has been very, very good.

How would it suit a tall forward line?The_President wrote: ↑Sun 02 Jun 2019 4:20pm We have a game plan that would suit a tall forward set up... but we go with a small forward set up.... I don’t understand
No key forward in 100 years has been able to outmark 4 defenders consistently.

Too many passengers - players that don't work hard enough or get enough of it - front running fringes players

And as I predicted, the players affected by the virus have very little left.

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Port’s pressure and speed in their forward half is killing us... but we have three big backs in Brown, Joyce and Battle.
Meanwhile down the other end our stalls are doing nothing and we keep bombing it long and letting the big port defenders mark it.
Try something different

Being crook, they can't play as well in the heat of 30+ degrees.
Should have dropped the sick guys and played the others who weren't crook.

Richo is a dead man walking. No excuses for missing goals. Brown is just a witches hat. Just ball watches.

Can't hold their marks, can't kick, unskilled, undisciplined, and f****** hopeless. That about sums them up.

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
this is why we need a new coach, the commentators point it out, we point it out, everyone knows about this problem except the coach...no side ways movement..don't look, just kick forward.The_President wrote: ↑Sun 02 Jun 2019 4:34pm Port’s pressure and speed in their forward half is killing us... but we have three big backs in Brown, Joyce and Battle.

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
no system, no method, players don't lead, don't stick the tackles, can't bump and can't kick. Shameful performance. Don't ever blame the coaches!
This is a team game and there is no room for individuals who think they are above walking through the fire.

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Port have had 12 tackles inside 50, St Kilda have had none. Ross, Sinclair & Newnes have zero tackles between them. Absolutely pathetic.

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Our next coach won’t turn our C graders with poor skills into elite A graders .. or our average half back flankers into elite midfielders.
We need to recruit our way out of this ... our recruitershave let us down over the last 10 years or so and need to go.

He's hard at it, he's a trier but Geary is not the quality of player you rush in, Hayes, Riewoldt yes, not Geary. Sad that officials think he being out cost us badly in our 4 losses on the trot.
