Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Just leave a couple of defensive players back in our forward 50 and it is so easy to defend against us because our forwards don't play there.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Why do we continually bomb it inside 50.
Either Richo, the players, or both are braindead.
How dumb can you be!?
Been the trademark of the past 5 years.
How does this keep feckin continuing!?

If a guy is throwing up and very ill 2 days before a game, especially after a long plane flight,BringBackMadDog wrote: ↑Sun 02 Jun 2019 3:55pmdo you both have intimate knowledge of how sick they were? energy sapping.
Should have brought in the emergencies, their upside is ability for repeated efforts in the heat
instead of weakened sick guys
Inept management.
I suggest the effect is similar to having 8 beers 2 days before.
If drinking is banned because of the impact on fitness...

Happy for him to head up the coaching group then because the douches we have in charge of trying to score are goddamn fvcking hopeless. Opposition analysis would take 5 mins ... put a spare making defender back ... the dumb Saints mids will just kick it to him all day.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Sun 02 Jun 2019 3:52pm Alistair Lynch just suggested we use 30 to 40 metre passes into our forward line instead of long bombs to no-one.

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Reckon we’re going ok
They’ve got a few easy ones out the back
Our pressure has been good and our ball use not bad. I reckon we’ll be in front at half time

Our midfield are third rate. Seb Ross is a liability in the middle. Geary not ready to play another selection Gaff.

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Any chance of one of our small forwards actually being front and centre of a pack! Theyre just watzing it out of our forward line.
And any chance we can hit a lead up target! We are so bloody predictable. We bomb it long and we have one tall. Are they practicing now for when King comes in? Our gameplan (I use the term loosely) doesnt suit the players we have on the park. When are they going to wake up to this? Everyone can see it except our bloody coaching staff.
We keep playing like this we are going to run out of steam and them we're going to be smashed. We are so labour intensive.

I’ve been against pushing Battle forward because he’s been so good down back.... but if ever there was a game to do it, surely today’s the day.
How many intercept marks can we let their bigs take before we change something?

If I were Max King, I'd be requesting a trade ASAP.stkfc1 wrote: ↑Sun 02 Jun 2019 4:02pm Any chance of one of our small forwards actually being front and centre of a pack! Theyre just watzing it out of our forward line.

He's doomed to spend his career as a human stepladder who's instructed to 'crash the pack' and 'bring it to the front' whilst the midfield keep bombing it on his head.
His career will be ruined, like Richo has done with McCartin and Bruce.

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Port is flooding the defense, we have some chance of a one on one taking a mark but rarely get any pack grabs....we are totally really on the ball going to ground and crumbing ground goals.
More evidence that no matter how much I like the lads upfront they desperately need a proper full forward.
I don't get why Marshall isn't in the forward line and let Bruce ruck? We are getting our asses kicked in clearances anyway.

Went forward against the Pies and kicked one... move was made when the game was dead and buried though.

Just said Young is on the bench and will back soon. Great, he hasn't had a possession yet.
