Yeah but the chin... - seriously, yes, I see the numbers are marginally better but it's not a very exciting distinction, is it? North have seemed to me a team that's consistently underperformed throughout his tenure. And if you're looking for a coach who takes responsibility for performance, he's hardly that.

Re: Brad Scott
Is there a compilation of his post-match pressers?

I get you don’t like him, which is fine, but to say his numbers are only ‘marginally’ better is ridiculous.freely wrote: ↑Fri 24 May 2019 10:32pmYeah but the chin... - seriously, yes, I see the numbers are marginally better but it's not a very exciting distinction, is it? Let’s put Richo aside for the moment. Look at what Scott has built at North in 10 years. Sweet bugger all. The 50% is flattering.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Fri 24 May 2019 10:04pmwin:loss is 50.0%
210 coached, 105 wins, 105 losses.
50% is better than the man we are currently paying $650k per annum.

Re: Brad Scott
Very strong mail that this is already agreed to. Both will step aside for the remainder of the season with assistant coach to take over immediately. Means Scott will have the rest of the year to recruit required assistants and determine list cull. Big rumour going around that he is keen to take a big time dissatisfied Roo player with him.

If we choose Brad Scott as a replacement for Richo I will not renew my membership or support the club and I've been a member for a long time.

Re: Brad Scott
Does Richo have the same manager as Thug Scott? Do they have managers?
A coach getting (rumoured) $650k - before signing a contract with certain trigger clauses, etc, would be well advised to get expert advice before signing.
So I think they have managers.
Mark Harvey (ex-Freo coach) and Ro$$ Lyin both shared Craig Kelly as manager. Which is why Ro$$ secretly met with Dockers without manager, to keep M Harvey out of the loop.
OK enough ancient history.
If the 2 outcasts share a manager, maybe the manager did all the negotiations to ensure both clients got a good deal, because they know they're on borrowed time.

Wouldn't a dissatisfied player normally be upset with the coach?twirlyhair wrote: ↑Fri 24 May 2019 11:47pm Very strong mail that this is already agreed to. Re: Brad Scott
If we had Brad Scott coaching us right now we would be playing finals for sure. He's well known for his selection integrity by getting injured players up for match day and getting players to win BOG by selecting AFL immature bodies and selecting players to play out of position.
I'm an atheist but if ScoMo believes it was a miracle that got him elected then I'm willing to give magic a go.

Re: Brad Scott
I dont think he will come to the Saints but he will coach somewhere again. Maybe the Blues. I remember Leigh Matthews saying he always thought Brad would make an exceptional coach but was surprised Chris went into coaching and how successful he has been. I wonder if Brad ended up at tha Cats what his career would have been like?

Re: Brad Scott
I'm (from a distance) reading that Scott got sacked. Am I wrong?King12 wrote: ↑Fri 24 May 2019 11:34pmWell, as I stated, he's not leaving North to become unemployed!Linton Lodger wrote: ↑Fri 24 May 2019 11:19pmI saw your post. Please tell me he’s not coming to the Saints.
Then there's Richo's trigger clause. We sit 1 game out of the 8, not saying we're going to make it, but it is still far from impossible for Richo to meet the trigger clause requirements. If he does his contract automatically rolls over, the Club cannot sack him without paying the final year.
So if they offered Scott the role, Scott accepts and Richo wins a Final. Then what? I don't see it and if true it is a potential cluster f**k.

Re: Brad Scott
One could surmise:
- that Scott thinks the Roos list is rubbish;
- that Lethlean would not be so capricious as to hire Ratten and Lade and then pull the rug from AR and hence them so early; and
- that Scott might just be over estimating his value as a coach and how the industry sees him; be just wanting to go into the media; or having coached for 10 years and not used Ross Lyons financial adviser he is fabulously wealthy and wants to spend time with his family (but not Chris).

Re: Brad Scott
Brad Scott is positioning himself for the most promising list in the AFL, if that club decides to move on its coach.
So clearly he has no interest in coaching us, he has been there and done that at the Kangas.
CARLTON is where he wants to end up, as would any recycled or aspiring coaches.
