How’s our skill level in some of these games?
Sublime.
Which games are you referring to SaintPav?
Collingwood and Crows
Harves, Dal, Lenny, Roo, BJ, Milney etc etc..
Watch our football in this game particularly the third quarter, as good as footy as we have played in the last 20 years.
Kosi's best game. I walked away that day thinking we had the flag in the bag.
2005 was the one that really got away. We were clearly the most talented team in he competition that year and after beating Adelaide in the first final really should have won the flag. Grant Thomas held back Hamill and Koschitzke in the prelim final when they both could have played.

Not sure it would have made much of a difference given how we got smashed in the last. We were in white hot form going into the finals but injury killed us. From memory we had about 7 players out of our best team.
When we were getting overrun in the last, Thomo asked his coaches if they had any ideas. The response from one coach was “you haven’t been listening all year, why would you start now?”. I think that coach resigned the following week.
It was Aussie’s last game for us and though he didn’t cover himself in glory in the last, could have played a few more years.
Always thought 2004 was our best chance if we got there.

You might be right, some of our footy in 2004 was also incredible.

Apparently the people running the channel have put together a 3 hour highlights package of Stephen Milnes’s career they are releasing soon.
Thank you Jason. Look forward to it.
Milney's overall career and brilliance has been underrated by many. People have constantly derided him and have focused far too much on controversy, the errant bounce near the end of the 2010 Grand Final etc.
Let it go folks!
Never forget that Milney was regularly an excitement machine; a highlights package. He was not just a crumber but seemed to be a like a full forward at times. A goal kicking machine.
On the whole he was a great clubman with a humorous, infectious personality.
There has never been a Saint like Milney, at least in my eyes.

Well here’s something I can’t recall ever seeing, a Jamie Shanahan goal. And Loewe’s mark at 1:00 was just incredible.
If Loewe was a second later he would be dead.

For those who aren't joining or don't get on youtube happy to share some of the gold every now and then if you like.
people wonder why I hate Collingwood so much...I was there that day.....and I didnt get my photo taken with Joffa.
It's a brilliant channel, so many thanks to the creators of it, if they're reading. It's marvellous that they not only saved so much material over the years, but are going to the effort to make it available to the rest of us.
One of the best Saints win in the last 30 years in full.
Great upload.
I posted this game sometime ago and it got flagged , hopefully this doesn't suffer the same fate it's a great game everyone deserves a change too watch it
