Re: Changes v WCeagles
If we want to be any good, Ross should be our 5th or 6th midfielder.King12 wrote:So, move Ross away from the position he got votes in on the weekend, that makes sense, not!
Lots overrating Acres still, running out of excuses and positions really, maybe, just maybe, he is not that good.
We are screwed if he is going to be top 3.

You poor thing. I'm sorry it's so hard for you and the white males. Someone get him a tissue. Maybe all the white males in the AFL can stand together in a Nicky Winmar type gesture, lift the shirt, point to the skin, really call out some of this racism. Would that make you feel better?Freebird wrote: ↑Mon 06 May 2019 11:53pmI find that most women are sexist and males are careful in what they say - political correctness that allows women to say what they want.

Oh you poor, poor thing. My heart just weeps for you and the pain you've suffered. Things will get better though. Listen to Pauline Hanson, she has a dream! Although she's a woman too so probably doesn't understand your suffering. I can think of one guy that really does, but he died at the end of the second world war, killed himself poor bugger. Anyway, chin up, keep fighting the good fight.

How did I name myself after a male? My last name could be King and address number 12, doesn't mean I'm a male.satchmo wrote: ↑Mon 06 May 2019 11:43pmThe forum is anonymous, and therefore gender-less, unless you declare a gender.
Why do you presume that twirly and ted are male?
If "getting referred to and called male names" is "repulsive", and "sexist", then perhaps you shouldn't have named yourself after a male!!!!!

Thank you.
This forum is pathetic sometimes.
I am neither twirlyhead or king12 and vice versa. It is not a conspiracy.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Turn it up re. dropping Gresham. One of our best player in first few rounds and most talented. You don't drop a player just because they started getting extra attention by the opposition.Saint wagga wrote: ↑Mon 06 May 2019 4:31pm Out:
Webster (inj)
Joyce (omit)
Gresham (statement - he was rubbish and needs to go back and earn it. Never been dropped, all the others have, I’d do it, send everyone a message!)
Ins:
White for Webster
Brown for Joyce (dropping brown was just dumb selection, he’s been playing well this year!! Dumb selection)
Dunstan for Gresham (he’s earnt a recall)

Out: Joyce (needs to keep developing)
Long (out of form)
Clark (needs to keep developing)
Acres (needs a kick up the arse)
In: Brown (Joyce replacement)
Hind (need some speed in the middle)
Dunstan (replace Clark)
Phillips (replace Acres - I also think he will be a better footballer than Acres long term and he knows how to find the footy. Better skills too.)

I hope they don't drop Marsh, think he did enough to warrant another game, plus I believe we need a 3rd option down forward other than Bruce and Membrey.
Brown for Joyce is no brainer.

Rowe is still not fit enough for AFL football. At the moment, the Queen Mary has a tighter turning circle.degruch wrote: ↑Tue 07 May 2019 2:08pmNot sure about Phillips, but the rest look spot on. Re: Changes v WCeagles
Something needs to be done, Ross is just far too predictable with his kicking, and it is embarrassing watching our mids at a centre bounce. Any chance they could touch the footy occasionally? Too defensive as a unit, which is the paradox...the oppo just continually waltz out with the ball
St. Kilda Football Club. Going strong, since 1960

Out : Long, Joyce, Webster(injured)
In : Hind, Brown, Phillips
There is no point bringing Dunstan or Armitage in, as our midfield is too slow already.

Re: Changes v WCeagles
We are exposed for key position players and ruck support for Marshall
Simply the need to attack the goal front is a requirement - you win games by kicking goals - but where our (current) problem is is that Membrey who we designate as a KPP forward is 188 cm, so mid fielder size
Past that we have Bruce who is currently labouring
As I have put, Mc Cartin is being sorely missed
The same problem exists with our defensive structure, hence Joyce as the option and who, given our current predicament, needs to be persevered with (alongside Battle and Brown?)
The mid field
We miss Jack - and I think we have to counter by not deploying to “tagging” but to instruct every player to impact - not tackle and negate as the job description
Ross on occasions has laser kicking but far too often just kicks (no doubt to where the pattern says the options are - or should be)
Why the differential?
Ross needs to lead not by disposals but by winning the ball from stoppages as the example - including by hand because he is the first receiver from umpire intervention
So Ross needs to be a feeder from under the ruck contest - at least negating because the ball is in his hands
Given the injuries and non availability we are at least getting a look at the depth of our List
Given a better outcome from those not available there are half a dozen or more of our current side who will be at Sandringham
