Zac Williams
TV is a different perspective than watching live, but this guy seemed to tear us a new one running out of defense on Saturday.
I get that players rotate and don’t play man on man anymore, but where was the pressure on this guy, he waltzed out of the backline all day without getting touched.
He ended up with 30 touches at 80% efficiency with 12 intercepts. Where was Long, Kent, Parker etc to pressure this guy.
Is this where we have dropped off in the last couple of weeks? Trapping the ball forward and causing turnovers for shots on goal. Do we miss Lonie that much?

Re: Zac Williams
GWS are a good team but we made them look good, particularly in the first when the whole team were kicking at 80% efficiency. We were not switched on but we just couldn't continue to play that badly.
Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.
Re: Zac Williams
We've been doing this for the past few seasons. We don't man up the opposition halfback flankers very well. Whether this is a byproduct of our ineptitude going inside 50 effectively or general man marking it has always been a problem. The last few times we have played doggies, west coast, lions, etc. Johanissen, Yeo & Rich all run rampant.

Re: Zac Williams
I remember Richo at a presser, maybe a few seasons ago, going on about how we need to improve our forward defensive work- the ball getting out of the forward line too easy. Fast forward to 2019, and the forward defensive work was almost non-existent in the last two games. Mr Coach is sitting on his hands.

Re: Zac Williams
Because we were so predicable and slow going forward they had numbers back. He was so confident he and his team mates would win the ball he or one of his mate sat outside the contest, they would win the ball shoot out a bullet 15 metre handball and off they went with their overlap run which made us look silly. We may have had 20 more inside 50's but they were mostly slow and kicked to the same dumb spot. We played to their strengths exactly the same as the Adelaide game, disgraceful coaching.

Re: Zac Williams
He looks like every other zippy half back who constantly rips us a new one.
Since Nick Hind was recruited last off-season - I keep thinking to myself what it must be like to watch our team with a guy who has elite line-breaking speed.
Surely including Hind wouldn’t make us a worse team would it?
