You sound like you're from a marketing background: bluff, bluster and a reliance on pot luck. You could never understand the value of a Hannabery.

Obviously not all best 22 but definitely Carlisle, Hannebery, Geary, Roberton and Marshall.
I think it all caught up with us today.
Imperative that the load is shared amongst senior listed players. No good having White as an emergency 3 weeks in a row and having Dunny and Arma in the magoos when they could have helped the team record a win today. Not saying the would have been the difference, but Adelaide's mids are not nessecarily super quick.

I can see where you're coming from but surely you would be impressed with the effort so far. Today we were outclassed by a better team & don't expect Dan to be on the park anytime soon

Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Don’t have a problem with the OP surprised many do....
Went to my first live game this year, thought it’d be a good test and it was
I saw us try but in reality our ball movement and skill level was nowhere near Crows - we looked haphazard, scrambly at times and going forward didn’t have a clear plan/purpose
Endeavours there but talents still light on - much like last year from what I saw today so against any quality oppo who can but a target we’ll battle I think
Hannerbury should result in a sacking btw shocking decision

Alright to you to spam us when we lose. You haven't bothered coming on here after the wins. And 'judging by the history of your past posts don't dare call yourself a supporter.ss1986 wrote: ↑Sat 27 Apr 2019 8:13pmAlright for you to spam us when we win. Nah, nothing like last year. Last year we lost that game by 10 goals plus.Teflon wrote: ↑Sat 27 Apr 2019 9:22pm Don’t have a problem with the OP surprised many do....

On top of existing injuries they lost Geary, Marshall and then Lonie (critical to our forward setup) early. We were poor after the 1st quarter, dumb decisions and execution yet we were still in it half way through the last. In the end, despite a poor performance against good experienced opposition, it should have been closer. If that's our worst, I'm not too worried. Put Carlisle in that team today and we won, depite been scratchy and many having an off day.
We have our two best defenders and possible All Australians (Carlisle & Roberton) out, playing one tall forward short because of those injuries and McCartin's. Hannabery hasn't hit the park yet (and he will) on top of Geary, Marshall and Lonie.
There's a big difference to last year.
I haven't even talked about their spirit. Don't underestimate how seeing Jack Lonie going down would have hit them psychologically. They're tight.

Marshall was out with a virus, I bet a few others had it.

Re: A dose of reality
A tough 3 weeks granted, 3 competitive performances and even 1 win from those three, will leave us in a good position. We always match up well against GWS and isn't the playing area in Canberra the same dimensions as the MCG?

You do understand that journalists spice these things up to sell Newspapers and never actually know much? Why wouldn't Hannabery get on the park? Is there a reason other than he isn't now.ss1986 wrote: ↑Sat 27 Apr 2019 9:45pmMore chance of that than on a football groundsaintsRrising wrote: ↑Sat 27 Apr 2019 9:44pmWell since you are such a keen troller, maybe yo will bump into Dan on a fishing trip?

Re: A dose of reality
Just shows how important Marshall/a good ruck is; Geary and a few more bigger bodies esp. in attack. To win we need the rub of the green and all cylinders firing. No 2019 finals because we won't get over Geelong, GWS, Collingwood, Adelaide, Port Adelaide, Richmond, West Coast or one of Freo, Lions, Essendon, but will give sides above us a few headaches. Goals for this year: get King up and running; get Clark and Coffield and one other regularly into the team (Phillips, Langlands, Marsh....) don't lose too many games by 5 + goals, find a new ruckman. Give Richo a respectful departure. Choose a gun coach to take us forward from AR's legacy and pick well in the draft.

Sydney were obviously playing him at less than 100% and he was never allowed to get right. Richo may be surprised (its called being frank), but he never said he's never getting on the park.ss1986 wrote: ↑Sat 27 Apr 2019 10:20pmSo spicy that even Richo was surprised he isnt playing yetLinton Lodger wrote: ↑Sat 27 Apr 2019 9:54pmYou do understand that journalists spice these things up to sell Newspapers and never actually know much? Re: A dose of reality
Geary was out before the game started ffs - Rob Harvey retired in 08 we can’t keep using that excuse for not being able to hit the side of a barn and zero system going forward - yes Lonie hurt but again that doesn’t excuse the skill level which is what we saw last year.Linton Lodger wrote: ↑Sat 27 Apr 2019 9:35pmNah, nothing like last year.
