Seems silly to criticise Billy longer - he is certainly not the reason we are behind. The main reason is that they made the most of their opportunities and we didn't (until the last ten minutes when they dominated but we scored). Our problem is that we are down one player. Jack Steele needs to "mind" Rory Sloane, let him get the ball and bring him hard to the ground about six times. We need to push Dean Kent into the centre for added hardness. We can't do much about their captain, he's just too good a player.
I absolutely criticise his selection.
We've shown decent form using a particular strategy, which relies on contested marking (down the line) or at worst 50/50 and a stoppage. It's basically been buying an easy 'get out' of D50.
Selecting a player that notoriously cannot contest in the air has hurt us badly.
We're still using the kick down the line - buts it's coming back with interest because there's zero aerial contest.
Hilarious f****** thing is he's in the top 5 for marks. Just shows how farking dumb the haters are.
Gee we've got dumb supporters
Why is that hilarious?
It's a clear strategy we have. We kick long down the long probably 10 times each quarter. This means he needs to be in every contest, and making sure we hold it in.
He hasn't been.
He's taken 4 marks, two contested, but each time he hasn't the Crows have walked it away from the contest with ease.
Still ours if were prepared to run & spread, apparently we are the fittest side in the AFL , so lets see in the last .2 goals is nothing if we step it up .Go Sainters!!

I think the boys drank a bit of their own bath water after last week. Wanted to work for about the first 20 minutes then nothing since.
Are you kidding farkwit. Coming up against a side that is ahead of us in the development curve and needed to have a crack. That plus shook the boys, coaches and club when Lones went down.
Just no farking clue about anything.

When Bruce is having a quiet night our forward line are a pack of midgets making it easy for the Crows to clear and rebound. Our clearances and contested ball are shocking. Lift!

You talking about the same team that got embarrassed by North two weeks ago?
Lol

Yes agree. No shame in losing against a very good team that has star players who have been down but are still very very good. Perspective bis needed. We have been poor today no doubt. But no need to get stupid about it.

having a quiet one? He's on one leg. If he was a horse they would put up the screens. We were too short on the forward line and they were too tall. They were able to get an extra man back too easily. That's a coaching (planning) problem.
I think our backline is at critical mass. Losing Geary just tipped the balance.
Plus, Billy just doesnt have the game plan in him. He cant cover the spread.
Bruce has done a quad or something. He will miss next week surely. No marking targets.
Mids just got pumped. About as bad as you will ever see. They need to take a long hard look. All of them.
Disposal was poor at best for most of the second half. Butchered it completely.
Bad game all over. To be honest, our goal kicking in the first quarter probably completely opened up the game for Adelaide. Three goals, six behind is just completely unacceptable.
"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....

By the way, how do they look from ground level?
Lazy.
