What came out of the Hodge interview:
Barrett suggested Hodges' mid game interviews were paid media gigs as part of a contract with channel 7- proven to be an inaccurate lie
Barrett stated Hodge wouldn't have gotten away with at Hawthorn - proven to be inaccurate - as Hodge said, he wore a microphone for a whole game with the hawks because he was told to.
Barrett stated that it was all about Hodge - As hodge said, in a non AFL state, the club and AFL HQ do whatever they possibly can to get media exposure to promote the game.
So if telling untruths about a player of Luke Hodges standing, to benefit your own cause i.e. trying to stay relevant in the media, then you should expect to wear tags like liar and mischievous.
Dont know about the thief part, but that wouldnt surprise me.
Not sure why anyone would defend parasites like Barrett, they prey on causing grief for others.

Have not defended Barrett, just suggested it not a good idea to write that he is a thief on this site unless you have some proof to back it up.

Example: Jon Anderson is a drink driver and a scum bag. I base this on the fact he was convicted of drink driving offences.

If Barrett has a conviction for being a thief I think the comment is more than fair and reasonable, if not in this modern society of outrage I think the above comment could be libelous.

No, you are right joffa, libel is a bit of a grey area on such forums, so better to put" i heard an unsubstantiated rumour" before such comment

Purple recently went head to head with our Pres in a 25 minute interview on a range of issues (see AFL.com).Be interesting to see who initiated the interview and whether the Purple one changes his attitude towards us. Well done Andrew- no matter how Damo tried to get to sticky subjects he stayed true to the Clubs truth
2 seconds on Warnie and it became the headline.

I liked that he acknowledged the work done by Peter Summers- many here and elsewhere seem to put success of changes only onto Andrews new tenure- but many of the decisions/ changes had already been begun before he took over in DEC.
