I am confident we will land a Swans player and for me it would be very sweet. They have taken 2 Champions from our club and we have taken players from them only when they have wanted them to leave. They have never lost a player to us they didn’t want to leave so nailing a Zak Jones at his prime would be a great scalp for us and would show we are heading in the right direction as a club.
They are vulnerable now we seem a better proposition next 5 years we take a very good free agent from there and get Carlisle back and Max King playing next year we are looking to head in the right direction.

Agree with above, but I still rate #26 for Schneider & Dempster one of the saints all time great trades and they are better to trade with as a club than many others.

Nice points. It's a good time to make a strike at the Harbour City.
I also think Zak Jones would be a great get and complement the midfield. Just at a sweet age too.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.
Total = 1.
He's the sort of player we need. Some on here say there's a knock on his kicking. Is that true? We need outside speed but we don't want players that murder the ball by foot. Would be a good get if he goes OK by foot.

Should add too...a speedster like Zak Jones would be very good under the roof and lightning quick surface of Marvel Stadium. His playing style would suit our home ground.

Interesting suggestion, I think the query on his kicking is warranted but explainable.
Zak plays a line breaking role which often requires delivery at full speed or while under pressure, anyone at full tilt will spray the odd kick.
Overall I think the positives outweigh the query and would see Zak slotting in nicely at the Saints. Right age bracket mid with pace and a touch of grunt/ mongrel about him.

I've heard from a good bottle of Rosella that the other team across the bridge will be looking after us in a BIGGGG way. Lenny is a lock to return back to the motherland and appears set to be bringing along one of the good ones. Kelly and Coniglio will be staying at the Giants, Haynes has already committed to a big money deal for 5 years, and they have a host of jets they'll want to keep on their list going forward i.e. too many to name. Who will be this years Shiel/Scully you ask? L. Whitfield - take it to your local branch folks! I think Gubby will be of slight assistance in this also...

I would love for this to be true. Whitfield would be a good fit for our midfield.

North offered Mav $700 per year for 4 years!!!!!
Rumour only @ this stage!!!!!
$700 per year.
You can get a heap more than that on social welfare.
Even the indian tea boys in Saudi were on 600 riyals a month = 7200 riyals a year = $2,650 a year.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

i’m not sure we have to ‘take’ from the Swannies
there seems to be a healthy regard and supportive vibe between the two Entities
and long may it prosper
Yep, agree. I am told that its not uncommon for clubs to do deals or favors over a couple of seasons and that the hannebery deal was one of those.
The hint was that luke parker was looking to come to vic. In 2020 and maybe part of the hannebery arrangment. Swans were desperate for a salary dump and we are one of the few that can take the hit.
Who knows, maybe not parker, bu t jones.
He would certainly provide a point of difference to our midfield
Good solid player and if he doesn't require our first round pick I would be all for drafting Zac Jones.
However, our greatest need is for true A - graders and our first round pick this year should be in the first 6 or so, so we should not be considering using it for anything other than a star of the game or pure potential.
