well the coach prefers longer - even to the point of playing him injured.
it looked as if he was gone in 16, left in hickey's wake, but hickey has been awful since - no doubt who was better last year.
seems many are pissed that longer isn't the hickey we all hoped for. he isn't, but neither is hickey. marshall isn't ready and longer isn't fit, but the coach is throwing him to the wolves anyway. did the same to dunstan for three years - played when not always fit, just used for the team to his own detriment. so maybe we get off longer's back and on richo's - he's the one playing him?

I don't know how many on here have been challenged to put their resumes up, but why doesn't common cold put his up? Did he wear the jumper? Hahahahaha. Maybe in a dream. During kick to kick, or maybe he's one of those unfortunate adults who still wears a club jumper with a number on it to the footy. Obviously number 18. Another fantasy, I'm afraid. His nic is the clue folks. A made up character from a made up past time. So sad.

Unfortunately agree definite Longer shouldn't play round 3, don't like bagging players, but my criticism is that he doesn't do enough.
1. He's too slow around the ground
2. He cannot go up forward and take big marks.
3. He gives so many free kicks against him for holding an opponent, I just cringe at it, all he needs to do is just compete but gives free's away consistently.
Honestly, probably should of stayed with Stanley. While he was inconsistent, when he has his day he was very good.
They have Rory Lobb who is a forward who is a good back up relief ruckman but not a full time ruck and Dawson Simpson who makes Billy look like Jack Billings skill wise.
With an on-ball brigade of Kelly, Cognilio, Sheil, Whitfield, Ward, Scully, Taranto, Hopper etc big Billy wouldn't need to do anything other than win or nulify the hit out and use some physicality around the stoppages.

Have to say I agree with Saynta- appeals to authority both to bolster an opinion or to refute by denigration are an unworthy distraction. An opinion may be based of fact/experience and analysis or wishful thinking. Regardless, ask for reasons, analogies -whatever, but the identity of the poster is entirely irrelevant UNLESS the poster claims expertise. Then the level of expertise does become relevant.
