Re: Where were the snags?
Some veggie dogs and/or veggie burgers as an alternative to meat would be amazing. I find you usually have to get in quick for those, as only a few get prepared and many meat-eaters quite often take that option instead.

You are probably right on your first statement, wrong on the last.

Re: Where were the snags?
Well, no one would force you to eat them, hence them being offered as an alternative.saynta wrote: ↑Fri 12 Apr 2019 5:28pmyuk, no thanks.Sainternist wrote: ↑Fri 12 Apr 2019 5:27pm Some veggie dogs and/or veggie burgers as an alternative to meat would be amazing. Although, if you were to try some of Beyond Meat's products, you'd probably change your mind. They are incredibly delicious!saynta wrote: ↑Fri 12 Apr 2019 5:34pmYou are 100% correct there.Sainternist wrote: ↑Fri 12 Apr 2019 5:30pmWell, no one would force you to eat them, hence them being offered as an alternative.saynta wrote: ↑Fri 12 Apr 2019 5:28pmyuk, no thanks.Sainternist wrote: ↑Fri 12 Apr 2019 5:27pm Some veggie dogs and/or veggie burgers as an alternative to meat would be amazing. You're most welcome, Saynta!
I reckon if someone gave you a Beyond Meat snag and not told you it wasn't a meat version snag, you would think it was meat and be tempted to ask for another

Re: Where were the snags?
Interested enough to check it beyond meats - basically pea protein isolate. Curious as I would happily eat plant based snag if I could find an edible one.
Atm the only edible plant based meats I’ve enjoyed is qorn - a fungus base. Prefer their mince to real minced beef in a bolognese sauce - just soak up the sauce flavour and the perfect texture.
They are more about sustainable eating rather than vegan as there is egg white in some products.

Re: Where were the snags?
I haven't tried Qorn's mince. Will have to give it a go on your advice. I find their other products a little too processed. Beyond Meat are pretty new and are quite pricy at the moment. I've been vegetarian for over 20 years and try not to fall into the trap of eat the mock meats too often. They're just a good alternative at BBQs and other occasions. Tofurkey's veggie dogs aren't bad, in terms of the better priced ones from the supermarket.desertsaint wrote: ↑Fri 12 Apr 2019 10:14pm Interested enough to check it beyond meats - basically pea protein isolate.
