At least Stanley can go forward and be reasonably effective. At best he’s an AFL player but is the least physical big man I’ve seen play.
A Marshall/ Stanley combination could be workable as both can ruck and play forward. I believe we don’t go with two rucks as either Pierce or Longer cannot play forward or back, only ruck.
Fair IMO to suggest we wouldn’t have taken Paddy if we didn’t trade Stanley. As plenty wrote here at the time and is still valid the option may have been Stanley & Petracca verses Goddard & Paddy.
Whilst be stuffed up both trade and recruiting options, at least Stanley & Petracca are average and not stars. Would be pissed if both ended up guns.

the club's decisions of late have been abysmal .....getting rid of Mav was not one of them. I was pleased as soon as I found out, a few football brains on here weren't.

The interesting thing was Mav getting a game round 1.
Pre-season champ is Mav, I think most here agreed he'd struggle to hold his spot and four weeks later appears to have been pushed way down the list.

6 changes at the Tigers this week.
No Martin, Reiwoldt or Cotchin amongst 6-7 best 22 not available.
Mav not named in team or emergencies.
Papers stamped??
Hate to break it to ya Corf, (you already suffered enough embarrassment with Mav), he is injured and has been since he was left outta the team in the first place!!!!!

Thanks for the update Stonecold, obviously didn't realise Mav was injured.
What is the issue and how long is he out for?
Why would not having knowledge of Mavs injury cause embarrassment?

There’s some weird thing going on here that if Richmond plays Mav it means that his continued selection following terrible performances at St.Kilda was more justifiable.
I’d hope that answers your question but I don’t really get it either.
For some reason this same logic doesn’t apply to Hickey either... his continued selection at WCE seems to further vindicate the decision to trade him

Leg injury of some discription, should be back next round!!!!!
You just went pretty hard on him not getting a game, so I was comically pointing out that he is injured!!!!!
You would have taken the same opportunity if roles were reversed!!!!!
