Long shots but Hind to come in but Sinclair and Kent most likely to be dropped so not the same position. Young kicking goals at VFL but that's a longer shot.

Re: Changes v Hawks
Rubbish, why can't he! Grundy was doing it at a similar age, heck even Billy Longer played a near full season a couple of years ago at the same age and averaged about 3 posi's per game! I reckon English from the doggies is only a 3rd year player...if there good enough, they are old enough. if he gets injured, he gets his spell, but unless injured, he plays every game and gets his game tally up as quick as possible!!tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Wed 10 Apr 2019 3:49pm Marshall can't play ruck every game this year. Its ridiculous to suggest he could or should. He is a kid and will need help here and there and should be managed/rested for a couple of games. Next year is a different story though.

Re: Changes v Hawks
Sinclair & Parker named in the team not on the bench.
Don’t know if that means anything.
Agree Steven & Long for Kent & ???

Would love to see Long thrown in the guts for a quarter. There was some pre season talk as that where he saw himself so why not throw him in there. Acres too please!

I think if that actually happens - that's pretty much our strongest available team right now (i.e. not including Carlisle, Hanners and Robbo).stkfc1 wrote: ↑Fri 12 Apr 2019 3:48pmThink it will be Kent and Dunstan for Steven and Long.guitars4 wrote: ↑Thu 11 Apr 2019 10:05pmYeah your right it will mean they stay .Joffa Burns wrote: ↑Thu 11 Apr 2019 9:21pmSinclair & Parker named in the team not on the bench.

I dont like it
I dont like it
I dont like it
Most teams are now playing two 200cm ruck/forwards
( and to avoid argy-bargy most better team are playing two 200cm players)
Bruce is not a ruckman and it upsets the forward balance to much
Acres is not a ruckman - for football gods sakes - just let him settle into a position this year
That leaves Marshall up against two rucks all day
The selection panel must have seen last weeks game the same as Sandringhams' best players assessment & not elevate Longer
So if Marshall goes down as the experts are saying he will because of over use - whose fault will it be?

Honestly, I dont see how DMac is still getting a game. He looks out of sorts and Joyce was ok. Joyce will be better with Brown to help out. Would rather swap and let DMac get some form in the 2s unless its purely a match up issue.

Longer needs at least another run, limited pre-season!!!!!sunsaint wrote: ↑Fri 12 Apr 2019 4:20pm I dont like it

He was actually withdrawn from the squad because he was injured. replaced by white with Jack replaced by Phillips.

I thought DMac was dreadful against Freo. He was like a clueless athlete just barging around with little football judgement shown.
Very disappointing as when he first made seniors he looked a real prospect, but he has not developed at all football wise.

Re: Changes v Hawks
I did mention in an earlier post that Richo doesn't do more than 2-3 changes.
So just dropping Luke for Long is normal for him.
Amazed that he gives Sincs a lifeline, D-Mac is the Weller of 2019.
Him and Ratten+Lade have just ruined us.

I'm concerned about Stuv.

players that win one on one contests and provide run are dreadful?saintsRrising wrote: ↑Fri 12 Apr 2019 7:20pmI thought DMac was dreadful against Freo. He was like a clueless athlete just barging around with little football judgement shown.

always been a fan, excellent in the contest, brave, quick, good in the air. excellent endurance and seems to have tidied up his disposal this year
downside is he gets a few kicked against him but that will improve with experience and team cohesion

Well there you go. I though he read the play poorly and used it poorly and as you noted did not hold his opponent well either.
Yes he is quick, can run and jump...hence my athlete reference. But football wise I thought he really lacked.

watching the game in Perth, DMac was often caught out, as if he wasn't sure whether to stick with his man or trust his judgementsaintsRrising wrote: ↑Sat 13 Apr 2019 2:21amspiral3 wrote: ↑Sat 13 Apr 2019 12:31amplayers that win one on one contests and provide run are dreadful?saintsRrising wrote: ↑Fri 12 Apr 2019 7:20pmI thought DMac was dreadful against Freo. and run to where the ball would be.
Result- mostly caught out of position. Sure, he's athletic, but his footy nous seemed missing.

How would we know with Kent, has done nothing but fumble and slip over.
Big game for him this week if he wants to keep his place
