Re: Mav Weller getting a game
Well the Tiggers I feel are in a mess.
Rooey2 is now injured and they desperately need Basher back.
Games against GWS and Port away to come in their next 2 rounds!
Our MAV has plenty of tackle-less mates so may survive!

I reckon Mav is about to be dropped from an average team. Seems about right.

The odds have nothing to do with it. Consider what would have to happen in order for mav to win it.GilsAuPair wrote: ↑Fri 29 Mar 2019 12:16amRighto.

Re: Mav Weller getting a game
If there is a point to this post, it's asking the question: Did we make a mistake in dumping Weller? The answer is NO.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Thu 28 Mar 2019 9:05pm Mav Weller getting a game in a top 4 side proves our list depth is pretty good. Funnily, I would take Kent, Parker, Long and Lonie to play that forward role over Mav any day of the week at the Saints right now.
Not that it's any news but our lack of star power and A grade power is what is holding us back. If only 3-4 current players move into that bracket or if we get 1-2 of them from somewhere else then a quick ladder rise isn't out of the question post 2019.
Who is our best bet to go A grade from now on?
Max King?
Clark?
Coffield?
Billings?
Gresham?
2019 will tell us many things.

Yep. Read the first sentence.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Re: Mav Weller getting a game
I hold absolutely no grudge against Mav Weller. For a season or two he was certainly in our best 22. The Saints decided to delist him, and I for one, wish him a happy and enjoyable career.

Now I see what uve done there.
Clever
For mav to win there would have to be an injury crisis of sorts.

When he was caught holding the ball in the goal square, the part of me that wanted him off our list couldn’t help but feel vindicated.

On a similar note, it's good to see Hickey holding his own and playing well. I think still the right decision to back Pierce and Marshall from our end.

Re: Mav Weller getting a game
I don't think it had anything to do with that as Richo at the time clearly preferred Longer over these two players.
It was solely about doing a deal to get a second round pick to trade for Hanners..

Round 8, Hickey v Longer (that’s if Billy’s getting a game ), book it in, we’ll see who’s number 1!stonecold wrote: ↑Sat 30 Mar 2019 11:06pmAgainst a nobody, but well done Hickledik!!!!!
