To be sacked immediately.......
Whoever is responsible for making the decision for paying Hanners $800,000 per year for 4 years should be sacked right now. Imagine stuffing up at your job and costing the company $4mill. How long before you are shown the door? We need to get rid of the incompetence that has infiltrated our club before it is too late

Not to mention the person who used pick 1 on a diabetic and pick 4 on a knee reco and pick 40 on a player with a stuffed back.

And Freeman for picking him in the first place and then delisting him when they actually got his body right. The list goes on and on and on and on and on.

How about the Kew Cottages?
It clearly needs a new resident.

Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

I don’t think diabetes can be blamed for Paddy’s shortcomings. Diabetes did not hamper him from playing well. It was his uncanny knack to get concussed which now sidelines him and, really, recruiters could not foresee this. As for the other recruiting blunders, I could not agree more.

Re: To be sacked immediately.......
Paddy #1 draft pick. You take no chances and he was a diabetic big kid who was a foot taller than his opponents at that age. Silly pick then and now. Diabetic athletes take longer to recover and get their blood sugar levels right. He would take longer in the bench to recuperate tiring out the rest of the forwards who have to cover for him.verdict. Poor pick
Dan hanneberry. Ex gun now older and broken who due to our due diligence or lack thereof of is worse than expected. Verdict possibly could be good but most likely horrible
Max King. Potential #1 draft pick but crueled by knee injury. From all accounts he is a training machine with great hands and leap, wayward kicking and slight frame but should thicken out. Pick 4 so not cheap. Verdict way to early to call.
Jack bytel. Great looking mid but back issues meant he slid a long way. Out for entire season after back surgery which I assume was successful. pick 40 is third round so it is luck at this point but we have been more successful with later picks of late. Verdict way to early to call

Can we sack the guy who took a chance on that bogan with neck tatts from Perth?
And the guy who took a chance on the accountant from Adelaide.
The guy who took Gresham at 14.

It's actually 5 years.
Anyone saying the 5th year is performance based is guessing and trying to be an apologist for Lethers.
It's 5 years and goes to the end of 2023. Fact.

Re: To be sacked immediately.......
"The 28-year-old midfielder arrived at RSEA Park on a four-year deal with a trigger for a fifth worth a reported 800,000 a year from Sydney during last year’s trade period." - https://www.sen.com.au/news/2019/03/25/ ... hip-group/GilsAuPair wrote: ↑Tue 26 Mar 2019 1:29pm It's actually 5 years.

It's 5 years and goes to the end of 2023. Fact.
"The Saints immediately moved to confirm their keen interest in Hannebery who is contracted for the next three years on about $800,000 a year. The Saints have made a contract offer of a new four year deal with a trigger for a fifth year." - https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/swa ... 503d2.html
"The numbers paint a stark picture of a player who has fallen off a cliff and would be lucky to earn a one-year deal, let alone four years plus a trigger clause for a fifth at a rival club. Numbers rarely lie, but they can bend the truth. In their pursuit of Hannebery, the Saints must take a punt that 2018 was an anomaly." - https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/commen ... faa27c8f77
The sun herald reports the same - "on a four-year deal worth $800,000 plus a trigger for a fifth season" but its hidden with paywall - "TWO SWANS GONE BUT PARKER SET TO STAY".
Either you are wrong or the media is. I doubt the media are being apologists for Lethers.

Re: To be sacked immediately.......
Given one premiership, back in 1966, everyone connected with St Kilda EXCEPT for those from 1966 should be deleted from any association with St Kilda.
They have all been failures, obviously.
Simply, when you are in a position to make decisions, you make decisions.
And given only the one person has had the ability to walk on water in the history of man-kind, every decision is not correct especially with the benefit of hindsight.
What you do do is make decisions on the best available advice at the time.
Mc Cartin still has his career ahead of him (concussion issues hopefully allowing - and how much did we miss him on Sunday?)
Hanneberry still has 4/5 years ahead of him.
Of more concern to me was the disposal deficiencies of some last Sunday.
How often were the "groans" of spectators heard as a result of disposals by serial offenders, especially late when we were trying to put the contest at the other end of the ground from where it was and kicking to "smalls" and the spare defender, so needing to turn the contest into a foot race, not a mark to the GC out-rider on the last line (and just as well Bruce was where he was in the long run)?

Re: To be sacked immediately.......
What about Jono get called up from the under 16's into the senior side at Girgarre Football, even though he was really 11, but the heavy peach fuzz on his lip played us. Farcical!
I think the whole think was a nod because Janet at the Country Womens BBQ out the back, gave little Rodney 2 snags for the price of 1 and he was obliged to call up the little fella.
I have written a lengthy letter on a servette demanding an enquiry.

Wonder if Lethers is getting a kickback....a lazy 100k a year from Dan for an outrageous contract with no medical required?

Re: To be sacked immediately.......
Yes agree. We need to start sacking all of the following.
1. Coach.
2. Football Manager
3. CEO
4. Captain
5. McCartin
6. Hannebry
7. Dunstan.
I need 3 more...any suggestions?
Clearly these people all need to go.
We would be to much better off with them gone.

Re: To be sacked immediately.......
To GilsAP;
Clark and Coffield are disadvantaged having Richo as their coach
Bevo has the runs on the board. Look at what he has done not only with Naughton, but also with Dunkley, Richards, even Caleb Daniels ( who went close to being a Nab Rising star winner) and even for someone like The Bont. There's no way he would be as good under Richo imo. Bevo has proven that he can get ALL his players playing their best football when the pressure is on and when it counts most. Bevo is uncompromising and Bevo undoubtedly has a good track record of development
When St Kilda had a chance to make a statement in a marquee game last year during Good Friday we crumbled and capitulated and couldn't handle the spotlight. Same thing when we had a chance to play finals. The pressure was on and the team under Richo didn't turn up. You can't blame the player leadership in 2017 because at that time we had Roo and Joey still on the list.
Same thing with a guy like James Worpel. We saw some signs from this kid last year and Clarko has done it again. It isn't a fluke that the good coaches have the ability to help a player achieve and exceed their potential
