Wrong.
Umpiring has been fine.

Yeah disgraceful umpiring allowed GC player to do what he liked to Long with out penalty then takes a certain goal of us.

Rubbish the two deliberates then took the goal of Steven were all a umpire looking to penalise one team.

Disgraceful play by Long. Gave away an almost certain goal with stupid play.

Re: Rd 1 Saints v Suns - match thread
Mostly good umpiring although the howlers have been howlers... I could understand the long free if it was one way under new rules.... But both involved
And a deliberate against lonie... Tried to handball to keep in.. Deliberate... Doesn't let go and falls over line would've been ball in..... Other then those 2 pretty good...
Tidied up basic skills that qtr looking forward to carrying it into the 3rd... How good is Parker's mongrel.. Couple errors but exactly what this team needs... We drop off he brings some spark and fire and lifts us...
Loving his efforts

Hate to be negative but Dunstan has stagnated in to a nothing player. Just plods along.
Id rather play young Hunter.

Newnes fantastic game too. Looks fit and like his old self. Glad the club kept their balls and kept him on the list.
Umps cost us 4 goals in total too. 2 against us. 2 to them.

Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Great block by Dunstan to give Ross space and hit up Bruce.
Great team play.

Power is back on; normal transmission has resumed (must get a UPS for the Foxtel box). Just caught a highlights package of Parker. Good pick up, can play.

If curly was here at the ground he’d have a fair bit of support. Two goals gifted.

Swings and roundabouts.
I’d rather talk about footy than whinge about umpiring.

Re: Rd 1 Saints v Suns - match thread
I love longs aggression. Umpires have been consistently poor but we have got some shockers our way as well
Except for probably the worst shot at goal all day, Parker has been amazing. Kent playing well as well so nice recruiting there. Haven't noticed Wilkie as much
Our defence is pretty poor to be fair so I can't wait for brown to come back but ours to lose

From level 2, 100% with Curly and no-one would disagree. Dominated play and saw 3-4 goals pulled off us.SemperFidelis wrote: ↑Sun 24 Mar 2019 2:32pm If curly was here at the ground he’d have a fair bit of support. Two goals gifted.
On a positive note...Long a great target, Parker and Kent full of endeavour, really lifting the team.

Re: Rd 1 Saints v Suns - match thread
Doesn’t seem like much has changed from last year regarding our delivery inside 50, still wasting a lot.
Good to see we’re 9.4 and not 4.9 though.

Re: Rd 1 Saints v Suns - match thread
Long and Parker have been excellent in their endeavour and lead the way on the turnaround. When Parker laid those tackles around the goals the atmosphere on and around the ground lifted immediately.
I gather GC are now two down so hopefully we can keep everyone on the park - I reckon Stuv will need a rest for some of the last half as he is clearly underdone, but trying his guys out.
Wilkie and Joyce doing well against adversity. Will look different next week with Browny back.
