In what universe are Hunter Clark and Rowan Marshall not in the best 22?

Are they injured?
Clearly they're not operating in the same universe as those steering this spaceship as it hurtles toward 'Plant Oblivion'.

I'm really not surprised at this idiocy.

But, by golly, I'm freakin' angry!

It’s unbelievable isn’t it...

4 years and Richo hasn’t been able to figure out something that SS has been all over since the start.

Disappointed with no Marshall and Clarke
I've long admired your mastery of understatement, s.

I'm 'disappointed' light years beyond Kevin Kline in 'A Fish Called Wanda'.

And, Kev was very, very..............very disappointed when that safe was opened.

Good luck in your pursuit of answers, Yorkeys.

Let me know how you get on.

In the first round of a brand new year, is it too much to ask for cooler heads and a wait and see approach?

Seriously, let's see how the team goes before cracking the sads. Yeah it's not full strength but let's at least see what the 2019 Saints plan is before completely writing the whole club off for "mistakes"

What happens if the players selected play well and get the job done? Where do I direct all my hate and outrage then?

I'm led to believe the boys are very confident.

Certainly seems odd given the preseason hype that Clark misses. Perhaps there is an injury niggle?

We can only assume player are picked on training firm and those who have performed have been rewarded.

Looks like Wilke will pinch hit down back and perhaps ruck. Seems the coaches will retain the one ruck strategy.

In regard to Lonie verses Marshall & Clark Is suggest the comparison inaccurate as they are different style of players.

A decent chance there will be one hell of a surprise

My sources tell me it’ll be either Paddy or Robbo, Jane Bunn declared the storm clouds have dispersed from the teacup!
So how do I get banned for a week baiting a poster (which I didn't anyway) but he doesn't for this clear breach?
Please explain why this clear baiting wasn't dealt with appropriately Mr Admin.

To answer the question openly - I felt that piece of humorous banter accurately hinged on your published assertion that the Roberton and McCartin health concerns were a storm in a tea cup. Was that not your stated opinion? Posters are allowed to argue the contrary or point out where your opinion is wrong in their opinion without it being baiting or a breach of the rules. Otherwise the rule should read that posters are just not allowed to have a contrary opinion or point out others errors. Now that would be a silly rule. Thanks for asking.

Hey, I hope they do, I imagine everyone here does.
But, we are also worried that they are making the same mistakes they have made over the last few seasons.
I went to the Nth Melbourne JLT match and Pierce going down hurt us and we had no back up.
Yes we won, but we lost some momentum when he went down.

I think we will lose the ruck contest but win the ground clearances. Expecting some dramatic improvement in a couple of midfielders this year.

Me too, I went to the JLT game expecting us to get belted but was pleasantly, I think we all were, surprised.
The 2nd quarter was the best I had seen for a while.
Of course we had Paddy and Robbo who both contributed to the win.
I am hoping for 6-8 wins this year and a better and more effective style of game.

I think finals are a chance. I think we will be 3 and 3 at the end of round 6

No Clark and Marshal makes no sense to me at all. How does Dunstan get picked and Clark doesn't. Richo starting early with strange selections.

Agree 100%.

Both are future stars. Both proved themselves pre-season.

Marshall over wilke is a serious lack of strategic planning. Pierce gets injured and game is over for us and Bruce has to risk injury. And no real back up plan to combat 2 metre Peter down back.
