If this club thinks it’s going to go anywhere with players like Lonie in the team it is kidding itself.

Re: Clark & Marshall miss yet Lonie gets a gig...
Lonie tries hard, but Clark is already skilful, talented, hard-working, and has so much more to offer than Lonie.
Lonie's role can be covered by the combo of Kent, Parker, Gresh...so can't imagine why Lonie gets a gig.
Clark can support in the middle, and will perform better than Dunstan anyway

Exactly, and not forgetting Long.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Fri 22 Mar 2019 7:33pm Lonie tries hard, but Clark is already skilful, talented, hard-working, and has so much more to offer than Lonie.

Kent, Parker, Gresham and Long cover anything Lonie brings.
Marshall and Clark out is totally clueless.
Maybe the tank is on!

So who do you have to sleep with to get a game, Jack? #metoosaint supporterdoneover. Is there no one capable in the asylum. Clark available and not selected. Explain yourself club - you are nuts? Lonie? better than a pick 8 who has been starring. You are not serious about the Club existing into the future. And a talented 203cm ruck/forward, why we have so many, let him wait his turn. Go Newnesy good effort. We are fools paying memberships to the current mob. Mr Pres; Roo; Warney; others, help!

Clark and Marshall not selected and we have 14 man injury list shows we have real depth.
Lonie will kick 50+ goals this year if he continues his form from end of last year.

Clearly Clark's plan is far too cunning, Wellard.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Fri 22 Mar 2019 7:33pm Lonie tries hard, but Clark is already skilful, talented, hard-working, and has so much more to offer than Lonie.

Deserves his spot as shown in preseason. Clark stiff but needs more consistency in his game. He will get there.

Yes, if what we're after is someone who when he gets somewhere near the pill, even lays hands on it, proceeds to go to ground, and get 'wrapped up' by any opponent within the same postcode above 55 kg, then he's our man.twirlyhair wrote: ↑Sat 23 Mar 2019 12:14am Deserves his spot as shown in preseason. Again, how many first gamers did Girlong play tonight, when they got the prize against last year's beaten grand finalists?
And, we leave Hunter Clark to play...........who exactly?.......in Round 1?
Compounding interest is terrific.
Compounding stupidity isn't.

Re: Clark & Marshall miss yet Lonie gets a gig...
Great for Wilke he gets to debut - but I would have picked Marshall before him - he can go forward back or ruck - who stops 2MP if he gets in a roll ? I know wilke rucked the other day but is listed as 191
I would have had clarke over Lonie or McKenzie I think

I’d have found a spot for Clark, though not necessarily at Lonie’s expense.
As for Marshall, he should be a walk-up start for first ruck. Can’t believe he’s been overlooked.

Agree re Clark, but don't think Marshall is a first ruck. He may develop into the role, but although he showed good signs around the ground at the end of last year, generally was well beaten in the ruck contests.

Ran whole pre season with 3 talls, McCartin goes down surely Marshall comes in as can play multi position and allows Bruce to stay forward.
Is Acres injured - obviously not Richos favourite we all know that?
Hopefully have a plan B forward as both JLT games were set up for plan A?

Still can't help thinking how well Wilke has done and that we may have uncovered a gun, or am I just deluding myself again.

Guys Lonie just is not good enough to make it at the highest level.
He just isn't.
Change my mind.
