3 hours! Aren’t we lucky??

What you’d give to have a player who can turn a game like him on the park in 2019!!

Could play.

Is this the best goal celebration ever - running backward full speed double fist pump?

18:30
Unfortunately the footage doesn't show it (they are replaying the free kick Milne has given away 40 metres out). But the goal emphasises his never give up attitude.
Having given away the free, Richmond defender A goes back to take his kick whilst most other players head downfield. A doesn't see an option he likes. Umpire calls play on so Milne runs at him. A is aware that teammate B is alone 15 metres inboard, so pops a handball across. Milne then charges at B who as Milne approaches calmly pops it back to A.
Most players would sense that with the defenders toying with them their chasing is fruitless and humiliating.
But not Milne who turns and runs even faster back at A. A tries to pop it back to B but misjudges Milne's closing speed and mis-executes with a flattish handball that Milne gets a few fingers on.
He turns, chases, gathers and just as the TV vision resumes snaps a goal before a very embarrassed A and B can lay a tackle.

A goal that only a terrier like Milne could have created and executed.

That goal against Richmond was one of his best ever and wasn’t shown on TV other than the actual kick. A crying shame.

Thanks jaxons.
Best small forward I have seen for us, and probably in the game.
Uncanny sense of where the ball would be, other than that cruel bounce in the 2010 grannie.
Shows you how good a froward line we had when you see Riewoldt, Gehrig, Hamill and Milne together.

"Front and centre." It's amazing how lucky a player can be when he positions himself accordingly, something our current crop of small players seem to have forgotten.

Finally watched it all. That took me back to some great times. I owe this man my childhood memories! It was something to be able to relive them! Some of those goals i don't think I've seen since watching them live.

Milney was my hero and got me through when the Saints were all that got my spirits up. They say football is just a game, but it's really so much more than that. I'll never forget those pumping celebrates, the freakish goals and that deafening sound of the saints crowd after another snap.

Lets hope the next generation of saints coming through can give our young fanbase butterflies, chills and the excitement that the great 44 gave me.

I don't know if you knew this but your highlight video was mentioned in Monty's introduction speech for Milney at the hall of fame the other night.
