Rules Clarification

There seems to be a lot of confusion and questions regarding the seemingly inconsistent enforcement of this rule at the moment, so it might be good to get some clarity:

PORNOGRAPHY AND SEXUALLY EXPLICIT MATERIAL

As a forum open to all ages, pornographic, or semi-pornographic images, inferences, references and anecdotes, are not permitted. Any such postings will constitute a permanent ban without warning.

We've had a few bans from this including Gordo' last week, while other posters have posted graphic descriptions of pornographic acts and escaped any punishment.

So… it is okay to make pornographic posts, provided you go back and edit or delete them later? This seems to contradict the rule which clearly states 'any such postings'

How long between the post being made and the content being edited is permissible to escape punishment? 10 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day?

Mainly because I try and avoid the silly, attention seeking posts on here but in this case I was curious about the sudden use of the new nickname for Richo. I grew up with a very large Richardson family, whom my family has been connected to for 4 generations. Must say Ive never heard that new nickname before. Being a dragit, I can see your problem letting go and respect that but gee this is getting tired. Do you have an outcome youd like to achieve, or are you simply going to continue to dragit.

But that's beside the point...it's more about having the rules apply across the board. Unfortunately, the side effect of not having done so in this case is that we now have a few posters who believe they are above the law and have continued to push the limits of trolling, abuse and general naughtiness. A good outcome would be a few bans applied retrospectively so we can get a breath of fresh air around here.

I find it funny that a certain poster is upset with some of my posting yet fails to recall how the acrimony between us commenced when he made a comment about my wife.

I should probably explain that it happened at the Raglan Hotel where we refilled the esky, had a pee and a few pots at the bar. Much to our surprise the locals welcomed it and you only did it in your first trip.
