Spoke to my doctor mate last night. He stated "Tom Mitchell will never be the same player again". "He'll be older as well in 2020" There you have it, case closed.
Assume your doctor has assessed the file and was part of the team that performed the operation or is part of the rehabilitation team.
If not he is purely speculating like Ted.
I understand you are part of the “Ted” Mulry Gang takeaway and while your cause is to blindly support Ted regardless of the stupidity of the content of his posts, you have usually portrayed a little more common sense than the above.

Pretty much. I also spoke to a couple of ex AFL players recently and they said the same thing basically with a massive grimace on the face. Not good.
I hope Mitchell gets back to his best, partly because he is a great footballer and so Joffa also cleans up a little on the 2020 Brownlow after he puts a bet on him. But yeah...not going to happen sadly.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.
Total = 1.

Too funny Ted, no longer relying on statistics as previously quoted, now you are basing your medical opinion on the grimace on the face of a couple of family members who pulled on the saints jumper 50 years ago. Even funnier is you think this supports your argument.
Personally I have no idea whether he will return at all, be worse or better despite you continually fabricating the story to suit your agenda.
And another reference to gambling Teddysainter, how many now is that 9 or 10 gambling references? Click the link and get help Ted.
Oh, and put up or shut up Ted, where are your statistics?
Show us the stats Ted, where are the stats?

I'm not putting any money on Mitchell for the '20 Brownlow myself but I can understand why you want to seeing you think he will take it out.

Plus, I think a Brownlow quinella with Mitchell and Gresham for 2020 would be a good punt. You should get on it.
tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Tue 15 Jan 2019 8:41pm
You have a full year in 2019 to do some research before you can place a bet on Mitchell for the brownlow in 2020.

Tom Mitchell $3.50 favourite for the '20 Brownlow. I heard Joffa B is starting a SS.net syndicate if anyone that is interested. $25 a share.

Also keep a spare $10 handy for the '20 Brownlow. Word is is that Mitchell is a shoe in.

Ted Mulry lol.
Coincidentally, I was at a BBQ today with another mate of mine, who is an orthopaedic surgeon, and he mentioned that "when Tom Mitchell returns in 2020 he will not be the same player - aside from one leg operating at only 92% capacity, he will probably have a couple more tooth filled, slightly less hair but will have a beard and be a better left foot kick" Definitely not the same player - bookmark it.

So you agree with me to gain accurate information it’s best to consult a qualified medical professional for an opinion as opposed to pretending to have access to statistics and the grimace of a former player as to Mitchell’s future prospects in the game.
Personally I have no clue but I’d listen to the opinion of your othepedic surgeon mate (assuming he has assessed the file) before I believe bullshitting Ted and his phony stats.
I see we are in agreement

So in the brief time between two consecutive posts evidently the universe changed...
tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Tue 15 Jan 2019 7:20pmI don't have the time to trawl through medical papers and studies, stats, stories, etc. to prove common knowledge
Try doing some research, read a few more books and analyse players stats on the topic. Its not that hard.
oh ffs mate! urban teddy parker has flowering better things to flowering do. like gaming.
(teddy is under the cap, btw. )
Footage of Tom Mitchell at training today on channel 7 news.
Seemed to have only a compression bandage in support.
Hobbling a bit as to be expected and showed him hand balling only, but a surprise to be moving around and supporting his full weight after just a few weeks.
Makes one think the Gary Rohan and Nathan Brown severity references were a little premature.
Good luck to the lad.

Maybe a 'backed by Science' wild-arsed-guess prediction of a Michael Voss or Mitch Wallis style recovery will be closer to the mark...or not? I've watched a lot of footy!
It’s taken me a while but I went jet skiing of on Sunday with a medical professional who was part of the team who worked Tom Mitchell.
His comments: clean fracture tib & fib about an inch above the ankle, no displacement, no complications.
Would have healed naturally without surgery if not a professional athlete. Inserted plates and screws no additional damage. Common fracture, expect full recovery.
His last comment was don’t be surprised if Tom gets back in time for finals if the Hawks make it.
No comparison to the horrendous spiral and multiple compound fractures of Rohan & Brown.
