Saints chasing big names

Post: # 1771672Post tedtheodorelogan2018 »

More will come to light during the season but its confirmed the Saints will be going all out for a couple of massive fish. Big $'s and big contracts on offer. Players ars very open to moving too. Watch this space.

This is usually said to give the fans hope after a poor season. Is this supposed to already be a distraction from the forthcoming season?

Whatever. Disbelieve at your own peril or post childish pics of ugly fake judges. I'll share the details with those that deserve it.

Anyway, watch this space folks. Its a 9 month story in the making.

I don't doubt that we will be chasing the "big fish", but it's another matter whether or not they will be interested in our offer.
The last few years have consumed do much energy and talk about a few names that didn't sign with us, so I don't have the energy to get involved
in fruitless chases. It's humiliating for the club to not even make the short list of choices. I'm much more impressed with clubs that aren't linked to
player moves, but then suddenly announce that they have signed.

There's some good ones available - Kelly or Coniglio would be scrumptious!

Wow! A refreshing new tactic from the club...its amazing they haven't publically broadcast it constantly over the last 5 years on all forms of media or included it in their club roadmap!! Outstanding scoop!!!

"XXXXXXX" chasing big names
I'd be surprised if this 'breaking story' did not pop up on every club's footy forum during the year. Can't wait to read...
Kelly tours "XXXXXXX's" facilities
Coniglio's manager in talks with "XXXXXXX"
That aside, move heaven & earth for Kelly please!

There is substance to this although I can fully understand ppl rolling eyes etc...

Gubby Allan was brought to the club for this very reason - and he is well connected right through the industry..I would think if anyone can pull off some super recruiting then it will be him..

He is very well liked by most of the GWS players - hmmm...

Some of the names we are talking about are just incredible..huge.

We shall see what transpires around sept / october this year.. Fun times..

Bingo. We've heard this over and over for years... no one besides the injured / out of form / out of favour wants to come to us unless we start playing good footy.

The burley we've been using to try and land a big fish has not worked so far.
We don't look like being contenders anytime soon so perhaps the marketing spiel needs to change
The message to ooc players might be that the Saints are a team who has to rebuild and they are looking for young stars who want to be part of a new leadership group. Hopefully that may attract a big name or two.

Sooooo... exactly the same as the last couple of years? How’s our record looking so far?

Well according to Big Ted we landed a couple of big fish last season in Hanners & Kent.

Maybe we can continue our astute trading?
