I’m optimistic we will be far more competitive next season.

At this point it is too hard to predict a win/loss tally for the first six rounds.

It was less than two years ago we belted Hawthorn by 75 points in Launceston admittedly with Roo still running around. Late last season we lost to them by 4 points in a game we threw away. We also beat Melbourne who are on that list.

I’m not saying we will be better than 2 wins and 4 losses. My belief is we will be a lot better than people think next season

My understanding is there is a get out clause which is triggered after round six!

Pretty sure everyone wants us to start winning regularly, unfortunately I just don't think this will start happening until we get a decent coach… I don't think being 3 - 3 will help us long term if it means a protracted severing of a guy that is only still coaching because of an administrative bungle.

Our first 3 games are against sides that were a fair way off the pace last year, so if we can't be competitive in all three then things will get considerably worse the next 5-6 weeks against Hawthorn, Melbourne, Adelaide, GWS, Eagles and then Collingwood.

It does kind of feel like Richo is on a hiding to nothing.

If Richo is sacked by rd6 the haters are validated
If we do a 2004 and come out and win the first 10, does Richo get the credibility or do the majority think that Ratten is the difference?

Considering Richo played Acres in the ruck briefly in a game where we had two rucks in the team (IIRC) and I think Steele went in once too in another game... well I’d pbly lean towards the latter.
