Nah. Wrong yet again young Ted. So very, very wrong. But we are not surprised. Supporting this footy club is not showing blind or is that blinded loyalty.

I bet I see a post by you on Dec 25 maintaining the rage. Santa will know you care. 🎅🎅🎅

He's on Santa's very naughty list I think. No Saints membership for him this year.

Yorkeys wrote: Fri 14 Dec 2018 12:42pm Has any player other than J. Akermanis while standing on his head ever said they dislike the club they are playing for. If you are on the playing list all clubs would be nice workplaces, wouldn't they. Jack is relatively lucky to be playing AFL and is smart enough to know it. Hope he repays the recruiting club's faith, maybe with functioning big persons in the forward line this year his left foot might be dangerous if he gets a game. Is he as good as A. Saad before he was suspended?
He is a lot more talented but he has deficiencies and has cost us at critical times in some games with his inaccurate kicking for goal
Value for money wise he has a lot to live up to, to justify his number 3 draft position
I like the comments you made early in your post and fully agree.
He is earning a truckload of cash because we have to pay a percentage of the salary cap and he'd be up there in consideration as one of our best players.
He's lucky (as are a few of his teammates) that his salary isn't performance based. He will probably realise that he is replaceable soon enough if he wants to test the market and perhaps try and join a team that is more likely to be a contender.
Will be interesting if he does try and please his old man by leaving us for the Bombers and they aren't prepared to pay him anything close to what we're paying him
I don't personally think he will improve much, but I'll be happy if I'm wrong
Was Yorkeys referring to Billings? Apologies for posting here if you were talking about a different Jack
I think it was Lonie scollop.

In regards to what you wrote of Billings, cannot argue too much but I genuinely think he will improve, to date he's been consigned to that graveyard called the St Kilda forward line. He will improve with time in the middle, rotating through the forward line. I believe come the re ranking of his draft year he will still command a Top 10, obviously the Bont will vie with Kelly for #1.

Any organisation I’ve ever worked in... the people that can’t take criticism have by far always been the most destructive influences.

The employee that is desperate to be better, that tells you if you ever have any input in how they can be better to tell them... that hears, considers and takes on feedback is a joy to deal with. Even if they’re inexperienced and not as good as more seasoned stuff... more often than not they close the gap and even surpass others in no time.

But that person... you know the one that is always right... they won’t listen and even if they’re doing things in a highly ineffective way... the mere mention of a better approach sends them into a defensive rage is the pain in the ass employee of any organisation.
Experience has taught me that more often such people have major inferiority complexes. They’re desperate to be the best employee... a special once in a generation worker and the idea that they’re not perfect like everyone else just fills them with anger.

For me, the most concerning thing that came out of 2018 for the club was actually something that Tony posted a few times...
I want to say that 5-6 times this year we got the: the boys have trained really hard, worked on the goal kicking and are really confident about this week.

Don’t think it once worked out that way.

The problem isn’t that we didn’t win but rather that on some level, not sure which, we didn’t seem to acknowledge that something wasn’t working and that we needed to find a way to do it better. Whether that’s work on fitness, practice, follow instruction... whatever.

It seemed as though we were just waiting for it all to click together.

That’s my concern for 2019. There are a number of players on the list that haven’t played consistently to potential over a long period... our thoughts seem to be that they might next season.
In 2019, will Billy Longer suddenly become a mongrel ruck that takes contested marks, hits big tackles and is running all over the ground. It seems unlikely

Getting bored now. Go away.
Oh, you're getting bored? You're stinking up the entire forum for everyone, I don't give a sh!t if you don't like it.
I’ll get criticised for this but...

Ted, whether you accept this or not, your presence here over the last few months has had a very destructive impact on this forum.

If you have an inside source or some higher degree of knowledge about the Saints or how AFL clubs operate, you should be able to demonstrate that in your contributions to various topics.

White Winmar worked for a period of time at the club doing psychological profiles on prospective draftees... the stories he told and some of his inside scoops... more past then recent were fascinating reads and demonstrated a degree of knowledge and experience that many of us were in awe of.

You on the other hand simply work at shutting conversation down. You’re omnipresent on this board and like SCSO you specialise in telling ppl they’re wrong, they don’t know what they’re talking about, that they’re not real supporters and worst of all... that because forumites are not AFL players they’re not worthy of having opinions.
But you yourself do not demonstrate any superior level of knowledge or insight... and you certainly don’t provide it to this forum.

Outside of people’s frequent skirmishes with you this forum has been almost completely dead this off-season and it’s because of you.

You shut down discussion.

The reality is that we’re a club that projected an image of a finals finish, won 4 games and it’s unclear if we made enough positive change to stop the slide... conversation should be critical... what we did wrong, how we can improve, who needs to get better etc.

Your constant ‘I’m right because I say so, what would you know’ mantra has really done a number on Saintsational. You love the Saints so much, stop killing the forum. I bet I could pull up 5 threads on the main page alone where your main contribution is telling people they don’t know what they’re talking about

What a load of total BS. The forum is still running last time I checked and people are contributing. Alot of supporters don't come on here and never have because of the BS sprouted on here. Don't like my posts or view points then don't comment or ignore me. Pretty simple.

Anything else?

What are your thoughts on the OP?
What are your thoughts on the video?
Please explain why anyone that criticizes the people in the vid have more idea than them?

tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: Wed 12 Dec 2018 8:01pm And how many people on here have actually been a room like that on draft night? Probably no one. Pretty sure these guys know what they're doing. 7 minutes and edited (only on the first night) doesn't show all the hours and plans put in by these blokes.

And no, I haven't been in a room on draft night, but the difference is is that I'm not bagging out these guys in the vid and pretending I know how its meant to be. I suppose I just have a bit more faith in those guys in the room compared to some negative no nothing nob on here.

Nothing wrong with anything I posted there. I don't have to answer to anyone either on this saints forum.

As I said, people don't appreciate or can't handle their super negative and BS mindset getting challenged on here obviously. Now that is very obvious. That is why the vitriol comes back across the net.

Thoughts on the video?

Ted, ‘I’m right and you’re wrong’ is not a discussion.

Attacking ppl is not is not a discussion... even your response to my posts are... I’m not wrong, you don’t have to respond to me, you’re wrong etc

Guys like Samoht, Cairnsman, takeaway (who see things differently to me) etc back up what they say with football disucussion (I like talking to them even if I get a bake now and then)... you seem incapable of it. Hence I’m actually not interested in talking football with you at all.

The problem is you do your schtick on every thread and ruin them all like plugger used to do... hence the foe function is ineffective with you

I left you alone when you started under this for a few months but your constant attacking ppl has grated me like it has a dozen other posters hence I call out your self-righteous BS now.

And the criticism doesn’t come from me alone... you’re in every conflict and are the bother of at least a dozen forumites here... and I thinks that’s being conservative. A reasonable person would at least reflect on their behaviour in such instances

Firstly, stop worrying so much about my posting. Surely you have something better to do in life.

Secondly, my footy knowledge and posting is actually top notch when I don't have to argue with morons.

Thirdly, what are your thoughts on the video?

He has not a scintilla of self reflection. No willingness to engage in considering the possibility he may have something to learn or change.
Absolutely correct he is the new centre of most conflicts on here, just like P66 used to be. Good cause to consider he likes conflict and plays for it. I wonder might they be nearly the same person?
Absolutely correct is ruining the forum. Just like P66 used to. Every thread there’s a conflict featuring TTL’s righteousness and admonishments.
And......he’s got a bulletproof story of being “positive” and therefore unchallengeable.

I got the Santa / Saynta humour! But under the rules I either had to edit it or issue a warning. Thought a warning was appropriate and definitely not worth editing.
