Re: Welcome pick 67 - Robert Young
We drafted a 22, 23 and 24 year old, as well as getting in Dan Han and Kent. Raising that average list age and bringing in some mature bodies.

Re: Welcome pick 67 - Robert Young
Good.
At least if they are duds we will be certain after 2 years or maybe one. Better that than develop an 18 year old taken later on in the draft and pissfarting for 4 or 5 years hoping they may come good and then delist.
By all means take a kid if you have a pick under 30, but not the later ones
Churn and burn until we get the right mix. Good strategy.

Knows where the goals are.
He will do me
Looks like we picked up a couple of indigenous boys. Could be wrong though

Re: Welcome pick 67 - Robert Young
The recruiters obviously saw something in him to give him a go. Same as the other 2 mature aged players. We have drafted so many 18 year olds since Paddy's draft. I like we have gone mature with these later picks.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

I can't kick, I can't handpass, my singing voice frightens small children. Few, however, have my ability to type relevant keywords into a search engine.
Youngy - which is the clever nickname I came up with myself just now after several moments of careful consideration - goes for a giant hanger at 3:30 in the above video and fails spectacularly. He also pops up around 8:10, 9:30 and 9:51.
Youngo - an alternate nickname in case youse didn't like my first crack - only kicked one goal in the GF, so I stopped watching after he kicked it. It's quite a beaut though. If he does anything else on the highlight reel, feel free to chime in.

While we are giving clever nicknames to Robert, did you consider Bob?
Bob Young - sounds like a ruckman from the 1960’s.
Proudly assuming the title of forum Oracle and serving as the inaugural Saintsational ‘weak as piss brigade’ President.

Re: Welcome pick 67 - Robert Young
Sadly, I'm going to have to get out of the nickname caper. It's too much of a treacherous minefield in this current political climate. I'm too worried to even refer to you by your screen name, for fear that it might actually mean 'Doing *** *** while **** the **** wearing a **** **** penguin *** in the ******** hot sauce' on snopes.com or something. Nope, it's 'St Kilda small forward Robert Young' for me until the politburo announces a list of approved nicknames.Joffa Burns wrote: ↑Sat 24 Nov 2018 9:14amWhile we are giving clever nicknames to Robert, did you consider Bob?

Re: Welcome pick 67 - Robert Young
Maybe "Young young"...that worked for a certain radio caller for many years, he was a champion caller but was laid off because he was too old, may have been Smokey Dawson , replaced on 6PR by a couple of duds after 1732 games.

It’s a website where other ppl talk football... occasionally there’s something of interest there so I post it rather than pretend it’s ‘my source’HitTheBoundary wrote: ↑Sat 24 Nov 2018 9:29pmWhat is this Bigfooty you speak of......skeptic wrote: ↑Fri 23 Nov 2018 8:36pm Thought this was interesting...
