Re: Saints homeward bound!!
Neither are senior AFL men's games. The ones that people come to see. The ones that Dave wants to hold so we can become filthy rich.
These games won't be played at RSEA, or at any Melbourne based club's training venue.
We don't have a ground at St Kilda. We don't have the money. We don't have the will. Is Dave gonna build the bloody thing cos no one else is?
We can say JO is the GO till we are blue in the face but it can't happen. Or once again, tell me how it could? And the GP is irrelevant because the Govt of the day wanted it and it was for the whole city/state. No Govt wants the Saints at St Kilda (Govt money has already been poured into Moorabbin)

Fireperson; are you and Dave personally building this thing? The Fireman wrote:let's hope we aren't all like youDr Spaceman wrote: ↑Tue 06 Nov 2018 7:05pm Neither are senior AFL men's games. The ones that people come to see. The ones that Dave wants to hold so we can become filthy rich.

It really doesn't matter if everyone's like me or not.
But name one; just one, St Kilda Football Club official who is currently working on a plan to relocate the club to the Junction Oval?
Yes I know you're just relaxing up North and taking the piss with this stuff, but how about you put a bit substance on this crazy idea?
Just saying the JO is the GO achieves nothing.

Re: Saints homeward bound!!
Biting well Dave? Not at all. I'm just trying to help avoid any innocent minds getting caught up in your ongoing fantasy.
And I'm not being unfair. You don't have to give away any confidential info, just give us a rough idea and redact the names of any companies or individuals. C'mon Dave; just the nuts and bolts.
But just a tip.
You may want to clarify your info with your source.
It was by no means reliable when you first went with it and a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then. Think the whole Moorabbin project and huge commitment in that by the Government and our Football Club.
You want this to go ahead but it's not going to go ahead. Regardless of what your little friend told you all those years ago.
Now I suggest you go make friends with a hipster and enjoy some wonderful single origin coffee. You'll feel much better

It's a first class CRICKET ground. What you get when you spend around $30 million on a CRICKET ground.sunsaint wrote: ↑Tue 06 Nov 2018 6:51pm been down to Stkilda lately Trev? and dont you think all grounds back in "1964" were pretty crappy (it was why we left Linton St in the 80s)
Stkilda - Its pretty swanky now
with good public transport options
yeah yeah I get the move is highly unlikely
but to say its impossible is ridiculous - the govt built a F1 race track for 1 day of racing!

What I do know is that Stuart Trott's grandfather played cricket for Australia.

Re: Saints homeward bound!!
Saints moving forward to the Junction Oval certainly has an air of inevitability about it!
ST KILDA concedes it didn't know the full extent of prized recruit Dan Hannebery's struggles with his body when it traded for him.
