#President - Basset (SEEK founder, savvy businessman, millionaire, loves the Saints)
# List Management - Gallagher (Financial wiz, ex Crows and SANFL player)
# List Management - Gubby Allan (great get and track record and he will help get us players)
#Assistant Coaches - Ratten and Lade (no need to comment, especially on Ratten)
# Data Analyst - O'shaughnessy (guru in his field and from Hawks)
# Leadership/Mentor - Billy Slater (unbelievable get for our leadership and professionalism)
# Moorabbin nearing completion Stage 2
# New China deal
Have I missed anything or someone?
Just imagine if Big Nick comes back and steps into some kind of role. Watch this space.
I think Simon Lethlean was a godsend.

Re: Off field staff changes for season 2019
Shouldn't the guru list manager Gubby have been here BEFORE the trade period if he was going to lure all these players to us?tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: βFri 26 Oct 2018 5:02pm How did you draw that conclusion?
It was an obvious plan they were always going to work together. Gallagher, IMO, was recruited more for his financial and risk assessment background, but he also has a very strong footy background.
Gubby couldn't start until after the trade period. He is more there for the deal making and getting players in. Plus obviously list management.
It all works hand in hand. Lets just be happy both are in charge of list management. We have some good people in the joint. Plus Lethlean would be a part of it.

Pretty sure they had to wait until after trade period as Gubby was still technically banned from any role. Guess that is why it got delayed until know as AFL approval was required.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Anyone of those gurus and stars going to kick a handful every now and then and win us a game? These are normal administrative positions any professional club should have filled anyway except for Slater., every other club has similar or better....WOW. No, Gubby was working for the Kangaroos during the trade period, trying to help land them a gig fish.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: βSat 27 Oct 2018 7:37am Pretty sure they had to wait until after trade period as Gubby was still technically banned from any role. The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Correct. But Saints gig still needed tick of approval off AFL.

I believe he was contracted to North Melbourne for this past trade period as a consultant. I could be wrong but I am certain I heard that somewhere.Jacks Back wrote: βFri 26 Oct 2018 9:59pmShouldn't the guru list manager Gubby have been here BEFORE the trade period if he was going to lure all these players to us?tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: βFri 26 Oct 2018 5:02pm How did you draw that conclusion?

Anyway, we've got him now.
Gubby is a giant of the game. Geez, he's had alot of success when you look through his history post playing footy.
