Off field staff changes for season 2019
Wow. Makes for good reading.
#President - Basset (SEEK founder, savvy businessman, millionaire, loves the Saints)
# List Management - Gallagher (Financial wiz, ex Crows and SANFL player)
# List Management - Gubby Allan (great get and track record and he will help get us players)
#Assistant Coaches - Ratten and Lade (no need to comment, especially on Ratten)
# Data Analyst - O'shaughnessy (guru in his field and from Hawks)
# Leadership/Mentor - Billy Slater (unbelievable get for our leadership and professionalism)
# Moorabbin nearing completion Stage 2
# New China deal
Have I missed anything or someone?
Just imagine if Big Nick comes back and steps into some kind of role. Watch this space.
I think Simon Lethlean was a godsend.

Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

... not just the players. Lethers has engaged in Management 101 - remove all possible elements and outcomes that can be used as an excuse for poor performance. By surrounding Richo with pretty much everything that a proper coach could need to succeed - the possible reasons/excuses for a lack of improvement are heavily reduced.
Go you red, black & white warriors

Yes, you missed your own efforts....you are very easily pleased. If someone put a s*** sandwich and steak sandwich on a table in front of you , you would probably eat the s*** sandwich and say how yummy it was. Anyone of those gurus and stars going to kick a handful every now and then and win us a game? These are normal administrative positions any professional club should have filled anyway except for Slater., every other club has similar or better....WOW. Give us your assessment on how many Nick will kick when he comes out of retirement.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Thu 25 Oct 2018 7:09pm Wow. Makes for good reading.

No wonder people and good posters steer clear of this place.

Mr Austin, no one takes them seriously anyway. Better off ignoring them. Just here to cause trouble.
And thanks to No11.

I don't take much seriously on here to be honest, you could go through the list of posters and pretty much know exactly who ever had a decent career as a player, it's that obvious who the arm chairs are!!!!!tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Fri 26 Oct 2018 1:16pm Mr Austin, no one takes them seriously anyway. Whats with the Lethlean love fest around here? Its becoming bit of a joke.
He'll be out as soon as another AFL job for the boys comes up.
Slimey character. Wouldnt trust him with anything, anytime.

Just a regular person.
They have different elements to their roles, but both are list management.

so in other words Gubby is holding the hand of the person who has zero experience in the role.

Re: Off field staff changes for season 2019
How did you draw that conclusion?
It was an obvious plan they were always going to work together. Gallagher, IMO, was recruited more for his financial and risk assessment background, but he also has a very strong footy background.
Gubby couldn't start until after the trade period. He is more there for the deal making and getting players in. Plus obviously list management.
It all works hand in hand. Lets just be happy both are in charge of list management. We have some good people in the joint. Plus Lethlean would be a part of it.

Re: Off field staff changes for season 2019
No doubt the off field coaching and admin changes have been a boon for the club
I would’ve preferred a new coach because I’m beyond my personal tether with Richo but aside from that SL has exceeded expectations
Agree with the poster who said there are no excuses for Richo now. Absolutely bang on!
