I don't like it much. But it is a lot of cash for a club in our position. So we whore ourselves out once more.

Probably the key thing is that we NEVER play Port in Melbourne. So selling our home game sort of balances out that trip to Adelaide....except we have to go to China.

I would be picking half a dozen players and getting them somewhat savvy with the language over the next six months... May as well put that best foot forward.

Agree. Players Learn Chinese even if it is basic phrases to appear genuinely happy to be there to the locals. I don't like it but it is done so no point whingeing about it

Its a good move for the club financially and something different. I'm pretty sure we get the bye the week after. Same as Port who have to fly there too like us so we are both disadvantaged.

China is a rising powerhouse. Lots of Chinese in Melbourne too. Its a market worth trying to tap into here in the Eastern suburbs.
