Dylan Shiel limbo
Seems the Dylan Shiel move to Essendon has hit a bit of a wall. Anyway we could take advantage of this?
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

The deal will probably get done, but at the 11th hour.Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Tue 16 Oct 2018 12:17pm Seems the Dylan Shiel move to Essendon has hit a bit of a wall. Anyway we could take advantage of this?
I’m glad GWS are playing hardball. Shiel is contracted after all.

No - rather pick 4, with its increasing value for trading for multiple high picks, or just use it on one of the top 6 in the draft.Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Tue 16 Oct 2018 12:17pm Seems the Dylan Shiel move to Essendon has hit a bit of a wall. Anyway we could take advantage of this?

Re: Dylan Shiel limbo
Use pick 4 like we used pick 1 and pick 3 in past drafts.takeaway wrote: ↑Tue 16 Oct 2018 12:25pmNo - rather pick 4, with its increasing value for trading for multiple high picks, or just use it on one of the top 6 in the draft.Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Tue 16 Oct 2018 12:17pm Seems the Dylan Shiel move to Essendon has hit a bit of a wall. At least with a player trade you know the quality of what you are buying.
St Kilda recruitment in the past has proven they don't have a clue.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Yes please, would love to do a Bradbury on Essendon...you can bet Carlton is thinking the same thing, now the Hawks seem to have their plate full.

Re: Dylan Shiel limbo
Dildoro up to his old tricks?
I hope the deal does get done and then I hope someone has the 'balls' to investigate his EFC contract.
Has to be BS - a Connors 'special' - like Luke Ball going to Colonwood for less money than what he was offered by us.
I don't for one second believe that any player managed by Connors will accept a contract from another club that is worth 2-3 million less than what has been offered by other clubs.
Connors' m.o. is to use those higher offers as a 'club' to bring other offers up.

I will be grinning like a Cheshire cat if Carlton plucked Shiel out of all this. Anything to see see that smug arse-wipe Dodoro bath in the excrement made out of his own arrogance

Re: Dylan Shiel limbo
I was watching trade radio (possible) and Dodoro was very angry what they had to give up to get the deal done. It was great to watch. That said all they gave up is what Shiel is worth.

Re: Dylan Shiel limbo
Just a guess but he's a Bombers player for sure, no need to seal the deal until just before cutoff, a little manoeuvring with a hing of theatrics thrown in for entertainment.

Re: Dylan Shiel limbo
I heard on SEN that Shiel was prepared to accept Carlton's offer late this afternoon which makes the BS about Essendon offering him 2-3 million less (over 6 years) even more unbelievable.
Complete crock of shyte IMHO and the AFL need to investigate this contract with respect to salary cap rorting.
