Your inside word or from a public source?
Not good if so... back to the drawing/trading board.

Re: Shiel to choose between Blues and Hawks
My money's on the Hawks as his manager barracks for them.
It would accentuate our incompetence if he chooses Carlton -- and Bolton -- for much less money, though.

Apparently will make the call in next 24-48 hours.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

I thought the 'player A barracks for Team B so he will go to them' was the biggest waste of breath during the trade period.... now its who the manager barracks for.
If his manager is a professional (it might even be Connors who is the best in the business) then this will have no impact.

Re: Shiel to choose between Blues and Hawks
This has been the mail all weekend, that Shiel has told us we're out. The tune has changed today, an ITK at BigFooty who has been reliable is saying we're back in (or were never out).

He got his mail this morning. Lethlean then said (about an hour ago) that we haven't been rejected.Spinner wrote: ↑Mon 08 Oct 2018 11:20amMaybe this guy hasn't heard yet that we are out....Linton Lodger wrote: ↑Mon 08 Oct 2018 11:11am This has been the mail all weekend, that Shiel has told us we're out. Re: Shiel to choose between Blues and Hawks
Honestly I don't think he's a great fit for us right now. GWS are going to want high picks in this year's draft and ours is too valuable to be trading away and they would expect an additional pick or player as well. Our biggest asset is the space in our salary cap so we need free agents, not players who trigger a bidding war in terms of trade currency. We should target players who we can acquire by paying over the market rate in terms of money, not trade currency.

I’m not a ITK at all. But getting good info on this (hopefully)

Re: Shiel to choose between Blues and Hawks
Anyone who says they are ITK of this outcome is full of crap. The trade period is a circus and social media only goes full moronic inferno for it.

Re: Shiel to choose between Blues and Hawks
Good get for Essendon. They need an elite balanced mid who is ready to go and contribute while they have Hurley, Hooker, Heppell, Smith, Tippa and Zaharakis in their prime. He'll probably cost them their next two first rounders with a second rounder coming back which is more than we could afford to pay in our situation.
