Whilst it's been 40+ years since I lived in Melbourne, I could not support Collingwood in a game of marbles, let alone a GF. No big wraps on West Coast either, but Eagles for me this weekend (very few living up here)

Dislike both teams’ supporters intensely. I haven’t been to any games in Perth for yonks and have no inclination to attend games at Optus oval as getting there requires traveling by public transport and being jammed into train carriages with a bunch of Eagles’ supporters who have no idea about how to celebrate victory with integrity. I consider my membership as a donation to the Saints.
Having said that, my 6 year old grandson is an Eagles’ fan. But, when watching games on telly I discuss with him how a good supporter cheers his team and claps the opposition when they take a nice mark, or kick a clever goal instead of the incessant, appalling booing.
So I’ll be supporting my grandson and tolerate the ferals if the Eagles win.

My cousin (third cousin I know lol but we have the same great grandmother) plays for West Coast so hoping they get up. Have been following his career since he was drafted and I like the Eagles now after years of loathing lol. I guess it’s safer watching from afar than being amongst the feral fans. But it should be a top game and I’m keen again for it after the Tiggers were dumped! If the Pies win then so be it. Not a prob for me. Better than the Cheats, Tiggers, Bullfrogs winning it

Not since the dark days of 2010, Jiggster . Since then the Storm have been a superbly-run outfit, constantly under the microscope by the NRL whilst the big Sydney clubs ( including Roosters ) get away with blatant cap breaches.

Ugh, what a choice: Cauliflower or Brussels Sprouts!! I really can't actively support either club. Mind you, I do have more friends who are Filth supporters than Weagles supporters. If it makes them happy... Also, we were the last to be the Filth's bitches so maybe the Weagles can take that accolade from us.

Having said that, I have a feeling it will be a very hard fought GF and the standard of football will be particularly high. These two teams did after all give us easily the best contest throughout the finals in that qualifying final.

What possible difference could a Collingwood victory make to St Kildas fixture or trade picture for next year? That would make it possible to rationalize a choice between these two poisonous snakes, that are Collingwood and the Eagles.
I have a bee in my bonnet about Collingwood that maybe fantasy, based on my suspicion that Eddie McQuire and co. worked behind the scenes to influence the Victorian Cricket Association and the councils concerned, to lock shield cricket to the junction oval, thus blocking any ambitions for us to re-establish a base there. I don’t know even know why or how but I just smell it.

Apart from that, for Banger only, I suppose a Magpies win would be possiblbly nice. I never think of WCE being a real team except they do get points on the ladder. WCE fans shouldn’t mutter about unfair fixtures, they are funded and sponsored by us somehow, surely.

Unfortunately, it'll only be false hope. Cannot fathom Richardson ever turning it around. Crazy that he still has his job. I wonder which coach in AFL/VFL has the worst record to coach the most games for a club? Surely, Richo would be a contender.
